Congratulations Yet Again, Inferno 14U team Kleet! Memorial Day runner ups. 3 tournaments, 2 second place finishes and 1 first place finish. Great Spring girls. This was a long 10 game tournament and we suffered some injuries going into the championship game but proved to be a gritty tough team none the less. Unfortuanetly the 14U Kleet team is moving on to a different organization. It's been great playing for the Inferno and we are sad to go but it's best for all. Thank you LI Inferno!

The 14U Inferno team Kleet Won the Tri-State Sports Mother's Day Tournament going 2-1 on Saturday made it a difficult path to the final coming all the way from the 3rd seed to go 3-0 on Sunday. In what was a long day where the the girls got to the field for the first game at 8AM and battled and beat the Lady Dolls in a close 4-2 game. Then they had to take on the always tough Nitro team in a game that was tied 4-4 in the 7th inning and had to go to international tied breaker rules the Inferno girls put 6 runs up on the board in the 8th inning and shut down the Nitro in the bottom half of the inning. The championship was a heavyweight boxing match against the host LI Waves 97 team. The girls refused to lose and hit their pitching well going into the bottom of the 7th inning up 7-5 the Waves scored 1 run and had 2nd and 3rd with no outs. Coach Phil called for an intentional walk to get the force at every base and it worked. Lexy struck out the next batter then got a force at home and a line drive to 3rd for the sure gloved Cali to catch and seal the win! Great job girls!

The 14U Inferno team took 2nd Place in their first tournament of the season at the LAC Spring Bash '12 going 3-0 in pool play and 1-1 in eliminations. Timely hitting and outstanding gold glove caliber defense helped make the excellent pitching a huge advantage in the team getting as far as they did. Then battling the LAC Red team back and forth for the championship made for an exciting finish to the weekend. Great team work girls!

LI Inferno Softball is dedicated to providing a competitive fast pitch softball program for girls on Long Island. Our overall mission is to provide a safe and rewarding experience where every girl has the opportunity to improve her skills in softball. Our expectations are simple, allow the girls to have fun, learn the importance of participating on a competitive softball team, develop good sportsmanship, build friendships and HAVE FUN. Every decision made by LI Inferno Softball will be accomplished with complete focus and dedication on improving the program for the girls and the girls only!
