After rolling thru the first 3 games of the day at the Fairland Fastpitch Frenzy by a combined score of 29 to 0, The Maryland Express 14U battled 2 opponents in the Championship game, the rain and the Cecil Havoc.  While the sun was out the Maryland Express girls were on fire hitting, fielding and pitching, however when the rains came it slowed the Express.  One parent was quoted as saying "we are not mudders".  After giving up 6 runs in the first 3 innings, the sun came back out and the Express battled back with 6 runs in the 4th.  However, in the last inning the 2 runs scored in the top of the inning by Cecil were too much to overcome. 

The Express girls look to bounce back at the 13th Annual May Madness Tourney the weekend of May 3.
