Mesquite Titans Mission Statement

The Mesquite Titans are a competitive baseball team that is not about the 1st place trophy. We are a team focused on winning, but with a team effort and a passion for fundamentals to achieve positive results. Our goal is to teach the fundamentals of baseball and to prepare our boys for high school,college, and higher levels of achievement in the game of baseball. With coaches on staff who have played through high school, college and some minor league, we want to pass on the knowledge we have gained over the years. We take the love of the game very serious, but at the same time want the boys to have fun playing our nation's pastime.

• Each player expected to give 110% in practice and in game
  
• Good attitudes are the only attitudes accepted
  
• Respect towards each of his fellow team mates and respect for every coach and player he is in contact with including the opposing teams/coaches
  
• Respect to the umpires and league officials
  
• No trash talking , bats and gloves will do all the talking
  
• Hustle is part of the game, it is not an option
  
• Teamwork is the only way to succeed, not an individual effort.
  
• Commitment to the Titans team

• Any parent wanting to voice their opinion may do so after the game/practice to the head coach.
  
• Any comments to umpires, spectators or other teams should be positive
  
• Once the boys take the field they are Titans, no coaching from the sidelines
  
• Parents are also responsible for getting their son to each practice/game.
  
• Practices may be lengthy as we get out of practice what we put into practice. (You play the way you practice)
  
• Tournaments are always the "unknown", and we try to accommodate every schedule. However, not all tournaments will be played locally. Please be courteous and respond in a timely fashion to emails and/or phone calls from team moms regarding scheduling of tournaments/practices/uniforms, and snack scheduling.

• We are a team driven coaching staff offering a team philosophy, more than one on one training with each individual player.
  
• We view the players as positional, and strive for results on their individual strengths and weaknesses for success of the Titans team.
  
• We will give the kids and parent(s) 110% dedication throughout any Titans function.
  
• Church, Education, and Parent(s) come before Titans baseball and Titans functions. We incorporate this on a general level, special needs can be treated on a case by case basis.
  

Baseball is a game, with set rules and boundaries. Much like life, that also has rules and boundaries. The Titans coaching staff hopes to instill responsibility,pride,since of belonging,understanding, and a commitment to team work in every player. We feel with the points listed above, given on and off the field, will ready our kids for success in life and achievements of a common goal. If the above is or will be a problem, Titans baseball is not for you.
