10u Mustangs
Manager Mike Rodriguez and the coaching staff
want to congratulate the 10U Mustangs!!!
for a wonderful and successful summer season.
With  their hard  work and perseverance
they made it to the championship game.
They are all  true Champions.

15u Mustangs
Great way to start the fall season. On a wet and horrible day.
Mustangs beat the LI Mariners 2-1 in 8 innings.
Great pitching performance from Danny Puleo who went all 8 innings for the win - striking out 11, walking nobody, allowing only 4 hits, and 1 unearned run on 116 pitches.
Other big contributions came from Anthony Rivera who had a 2-out game-tying RBI single in the 6th.
Nick Cutrone had the go-ahead RBI single in the top of the 8th driving in Joe Santos.
Not to go unnoticed was the beautiful sacrifice bunt by Rob Marschall that set up the go ahead run.
Also, in the field, Chris Friedl threw out 2 baserunners from behind the plate.

9U Middle Country Mustangs

The 9u Mustangs just finished the Ed Rall tournament
finishing up in 2nd place in there division.
This capped off a great season for them!

1st Place Summer NJBL (15-1 record)
2009 9U Middle Country Mustangs made it to the Championship game,
took it to the 3 game limit,
Unfortunately they fell short by 1 run.

Through hard work and dedication the players came together and became a TEAM.
Fred, Steve and coaching staff were are very proud of these boys for the effort they put in.

8U Middle Country Mustangs
Congratulations to all the players for a winning season and working hard to make it to the playoffs

12U Middle Country Mustangs Excel

2009 12U Middle Country Mustangs Excels in Ripken Tournament.
Some super baseball memories were made by the Mustangs.
The players excelled on the field in a Big Kahuna tournament held at the Cal Ripken complex in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
on July 18-24, 2009.

The Mustangs took 1st place in the “Bean Bob” Competition.
They also made it to the playoffs with a 3-2-0 record and seating 4th place.
Unfortunately they lost in the first Round of playoffs.

Players memories, that will be held forever.

This Tournament was planned for many years and finally happened. We did a lot of  fundraisers  and have many sponsors to make  this trip a huge success. We are very proud of our players, the way they played and got along like brothers. The parents are awesome, we are one big family. The 12u Mustangs represented MCYA in their professionalism and sportsmanship.  Both the Team and Parents want to go back as early as 2010,   if not it will be 2011.

Photo’s were taken to capture those memories and provide the players and parents to hold onto them forever!!

Experience July 20-24,"

2009 MCYA Travel Baseball Program

The Travel is for players who participated in the regular MCYA spring season and are looking to play baseball at a higher competitive level in . These elite players of the MCYA get to match their skills against the best players and teams of Suffolk County.
The League will field one team for each 11 age groups beginning with the 8 year olds. Tryouts are conducted during the spring season (early March) and teams are selected based on results of skill evaluations, manager recommendations and player rankings. The teams will play in tournaments and leagues beginning in late June through late Mid August. Each team will play anywhere from 15 games to 30 games depending on the number of tournaments a team enters and on the success of a team in reaching the playoffs in specific tournaments. Managers and coaches are responsible for selecting the tournaments that they wish to enter.

Nominees are then pared down to one team in each of 11 age groups. This is a highly competitive program whose goal is to prepare the players to graduate to high school and college baseball programs.
