Buffs Sign Spargo
May 1, 2009 - 07:00 AM
Montgomery, AL - The Montgomery Buffaloes sign former Calvary Christian Academy stand out, Nathan Spargo. Spargo, a “three sport” athlete at Calvary, will handle the place kicking duties for the Buffaloes for the upcoming 2009 season. “We have been interested in Nate since his sophomore year at Calvary”, said Coach Todd Stanton. “He is one of those rare athletes that has speed and is able to play a variety of positions. He will handle the place kicking duties for us this season, but because of his speed and athletic ability he will eventually be moved to outside linebacker.”
The Buffaloes look to sign more local talent for the upcoming season. An “all position” tryout will be held this Saturday at Brewbaker High School at 2 pm. Registration fee is $25.00. The public is welcome to attend.
