    Fall 2006 Season Wrap
January 1, 2007 Game #1 First game of the season was a tough lost 5 to 0 against Albertson. The team tended to have a tough time putting together anything from the midfield leading to few scoring chances.

Game #2 A tough lost due to 6 or 7 scoring chances that should have gone into the net. The final score was Farmingdale 2 Devils 1. Shawn scored on a great direct kick from about 25 yards out.

Game #3 Fantastic game played by the Devils winning 5 to 2. The goals were scored by John (2), Tim (2) and Chris. The team's defense was back up to speed forcing mistakes to occur during the match.

Game #4 The Devils and the Wildcats tried their best to outplay each other but it all ended in a 2 to 2 tie. Johnny and Timmy scored the goals while the Devils played about 25 minutes in the Wildcats zone, they could not put the ball in the net.

Game #5 The Devils could not put the ball into the net and ended up losing 1 to 0 against Hewlett. The goal was a break down in the backfield and the keeper could not grab it because it was wet.

Game #6 The Devils tied the Tornadoes 1 to 1 on a windy and cold day. Tyler scored with 30 seconds left saving the team from a major blow.

Game #7 The Devils played to a 2 to 2 tie against the Lightning in a great match. Tyler and Bryan 'Loch' scored but the Lightning battled back to tie the game on a close call. Otherwise the team played outstanding soccer

    Spring 2006 Season Wrap
    July 4, 2006

    Final Match

What a Freakin' game, the best of the year by two great teams. The goalie crew Bryan and Bryan kept the shutout, our defense played extremely well tonight. It was an outstanding game of skill by the Devils. John and Bryan B. scored the goals to win the game 2 to 0.

    League game #9

A tough lost against Hewlett Lawrence Tigers 2 to 1, Hutch scored the lone goal.

    League game #8

The Devils beat the Great Neck Road Runners team 2 to 0 bringing them closer to the division title. A strange goal on a clear by Great Neck ended in the net and John scored on a beautiful header.

    League game #7 and #6

The game against Island Trees ended up in a 1 to 1 tie thus keeping the Devils as the sole first place team in Division 4. Timmy scored the lone goal by following up the play. The boys all played like a team keeping Island Trees offense out of the red zone.
The Sound Beach Team forfeited all of their matches this season.

    League game #5

The Cold Spring Harbor Road Runners played an outstanding game against the Devils today but the Devils were able to win by a score of 3 to 0. Keeping the team in first place, the entire team played an excellent game opening it up in the 2nd half.

    League game #4

The Devils pulled an outstanding victory against Albertson 5 to 3 with clear domination for the entire game. Some missed chances could have made the score greater. Tyler scored twice, Joey, Johnny and Timmy. The boys after some crushing defeats in the state cup and Waldbaums proved that they could open the field and go back to the playing style that has won games, keeping the play simple! Way to go boys!

    League game #2

The Devils played against an extremely agressive team this weekend pulling out a 1 to 0 win. Both teams should have put more balls in the net and the 12th player, the post, saved a win for the team. Timmy got the lone goal on a terrific shot and the goalie team of Bryan/Bryan got the 2nd shutout of the season. The team's defense played an outstanding game keeping everyone out of the backfield, a huge thank you to Nick F/Shawn/Rudy Jr./Vinny. Great Job boys!

    League game #1

What a game, the boys were playing with only 11 players and for a full 16 minutes in the first half actually played a man down due to turf injuries. The final score was 4 to 0 with the team of Bryan/Bryan creating a shutout for team. The defense was solid not giving any chances to the Northport team. Goal Scorers were Bryan L./Tim/Nick D./Bryan B.

Every single player on the field was dominate in their position and help in every minute of the game.

A big thank you goes out to Nick F. who played with his heart and gave the team an outstanding performance.

    Devils 4 Northport 0
