Naamans Little League is part of Delaware District 2 and is located in northern New Castle County, Wilmington, Delaware. NLL will be starting its 56th season in 2013, consisting of 49 teams in 8 divisons with approximatley 600 players ages 4-18. Its five field complex is located on Route 202/Concord Pike and Mt. Lebanon Road behind the Concord Gallery Shopping Center. We hope you find our website both informative and enjoyable. We welcome your comments, suggestions and news.

Dear Naamans Community -

There has been a lot of confusion concerning Snack Stand shifts, particularly regarding teenagers covering parent shifts. I appreciate everyone’s patience while we have been fine tuning the system.

Going forward, the process is as follows –

1.Please do what you can to cover your own shift.

2.If you cannot cover your shift, please contact the team parent of your team and see if there is another adult who can cover your shift for you, either on your own team or another.

3.If you still require assistance, please contact Stefanie Hernandez, as she is the liaison for the teenagers who are interested in covering shifts. Please email Stefanie at

Stefanie.Hernandez@LAWDEB.COM . There is a flat rate of $30 per shift which is paid by the parent to the teenager (nothing goes to Naamans).

Naamans Little League depends upon volunteer umpires for games at the AAA and Majors levels. We have a core of dedicated umpires who have generously given their time but we need more people to help.

Ideally, we would like to have one umpire at every AAA game and two umpires at each Majors game. To meet this goal, we need more volunteers.

We are seeking umpires of all ranges of experience, including none. We will provide you with training, equipment, and support throughout the season. Whether you can work one night per week or just a few games during the season, please contact Steve Reynolds, Chief Umpire, at scr323@gmail.com.

Keeping our Snack Shack in tip-top shape is a priority and a labor of love (of little league baseball and of the many Naamans baseball families). Therefore, Naamans Little League is looking for a group of individuals interested in helping to spruce it up. Interested candidates should be willing to clean, paint and organize the snack shack, as well as recommend and implement new menu items.

Over the past few years, the Snack Shack has benefited from some wonderful volunteer coordinators.  Many have dedicated countless hours to ensure that the Snack Shack is always open during our many games. To this end, additional assistance from parents is needed ... any time you can offer to our league is much appreciated.

Managers are also needed to get the shack up and running before games and to close it afterwards (simply totaling and confirming sales, and locking the shack). Ideally, your time can be coordinated to coincide with your attendance at your child’s game.  By taking on this Manager role, you will be exempt from your annual snack shack “shift” duty!   

We are also looking for three to four volunteers to travel to various warehouse clubs (Costco, BJ’s) to purchase candy, beverages and supplies for the Snack Shack, on an as-needed basis. With just a few volunteers, you may only need to travel to the shopping club once or twice a season.
