Here is a message from Babe Ruth National:

The challenge for 2010, will be trying improve on the success we had with leagues putting their rosters online. In year one, we had 72% of teams placed online. 2010, the effort is to focus on the roughly 700+ leagues that did not do regular season rosters. How do we plan to do this? It is easy and comes down to one word…….TRAINING! Leagues want to be able to see that it saves them time and money and that it does not take a long training course do and learn how to do it. Also, they want to know that if they are having problems that someone is going to be able to help them. This is just a small portion of the feedback that we received from leagues this past season, and all of us here at Headquarters that we have taken note of. So how do we plan make things even better for 2010? Here is how:
· We are having staff take timeout of end of the season wrap up right now to learn how to do rosters online. Right now we are working imputing some of the paper rosters to learn how firsthand what a league has to do to put rosters on.
· We are in developing online training videos that help walk leagues through each step of doing rosters for regular season to tournament.
· We are expanding our capability to additional support staff to help with phone and email help this season in crunch time to help leagues with last minute problems or helping them to do ID CARDS Online or other tools.
· Commissioners are going to be given the tools and training for those that have a desire to help leagues that contact them for help will know how to help a league. State Commissioners should contact me as to when they would like to do a conference calls and online training for themselves and any other Commissioners in the state.
· Manually have to enter players? Here is EXCEL SPREADSHEET league should use for EASY UPLOADS http://www.baberuthleague.org/resources/BROnlinePlayerUpload.xls
· Remember that leagues can save lots of time and money by doing ELECTRONIC ID CARDS. Only leagues that do rosters that are placed online can get ELECTRONIC ID CARDS. (Paper cards can still be done in 2010)
· ALL RETURNING LEAGUES whether they did rosters in 2009 or opened an account all ready have accounts opened and ready to go for 2010. Details will be in the chartering mailing coming out in October.
· Automatic Email notification to leagues informing them of doing rosters. Each league will indicate when they charter the date season will start for their local league. After that date if the league does not have rosters submitted an email will be sent from the Data Center to the local league boards reminding them that the rosters must be down. This email will go out once a week until the league complete them
