Welcome to the home of the
2007 QYFL Champion NORTH QUINCY APACHES

Established in 1950, The North Quincy Apaches is one of the original teams of the Quincy Youth Football League “QYFL”. Since that time, the Apaches have proudly represented the neighborhoods of Wollaston & North Quincy, MA and have had many successful seasons in the QYFL. The Apaches organization is proud of the thousands of former players and cheerleaders that have passed through our program and gone on to have outstanding careers not only playing at the high school and college levels but excelling in the classroom and rising up as leaders among their peers. It is our hope that all of our players and cheerleaders have learned values like character, sportsmanship, leadership and through team-work realized the rewards of hard-work and persistence. The goal of the Apaches coaches and volunteers each year is to develop young players & cheerleaders to be the best that they can be in their sport, to help them build confidence, form new friendships and most importantly provide a fun, and safe environment to learn the basics of the game.

    Your 2009 Staff,

    Steve Koski

    Congratulations!!!
Congratulations to both the JV and Varsity cheerleading squads! Both squads performed very well and each placed second in their groupings. Each squad has secured a bid to the national championship! Way to go!

    Message from Coach Tom Burke

    Good Afternoon.

Tough loss for the Varsity yesterday as they were knocked out by a very strong and talented Squantum Storm team. I would like to first off thank all the varsity players for all their hard work and dedication. As I said yesterday, it's a true testament of pride to you team to come from an 0-3 start to beating the next 4 opponents to advance to the playoffs. I also want to recognize the hard work of the JV's and the JJV's. You played like warriors this year. In good weather and bad, at home and away. You've worked very hard this season and you should all be very proud of yourselves. All of the coaches and your parents applaud your efforts.

The JV and JJV's have one more game to get through before we can return all the equipment and wrap up our season. This weekend the JV and JJV play their final game of the season at Pageant Field. Here are a few things to keep in mind and please pass along to your fellow players in case they do not receive this.

JV & JJV- I know that we had said that we were going to practice Tuesday and Thursday this week. That was before we really realized how it would affect our lighting situation. It will not be dark at about 5pm now and so we have decided to NOT have practice this week since we won't have light. The teams are to report to Pageant field Saturday morning. JV at 8am and JJV at 9:30am.

EQUIPMENT RETURN- We will be doing equipment returns directly after the JV & JJV games this weekend November 7th. Members of those teams are to bring a change of clothes up to the field with them (or have a parent bring them up during game time) to that each team can do returns after the games. JV returns will be at about 10:30 after their game and about 11:45 for the JJV. Kids will get changed in the bathrooms up at the field and we will do returns up at the field.

VARSITY RETURNS will be held at Granite City Storage behind St Ann's School at about NOON on Saturday. Every player must account for everything that was given to them at the beginning of the season. For anything that is not handed in at the end of the season, you will have to pay for it's replacement. It is very important that you account for all the kids equipment. Here is a checklist of what needs to be returned:

    1- Helmet
    1 Shoulder Pad
1 pair of White practice pants
    2 knee pads (numbered)
    2 thigh pads (Numbered)
2 hip pads, 1 butt pad (Numbered)
1 girdle (looks like shorts that hold the hip and butt pads)
1 pair of Red game pants (JV and Varsity)
    1 black game shirt
    1 White Game shirt (Varsity)

A parent advisor will be there with a check list to make sure all pieces are returned. You keep your practice shirt. We are looking for a few extra parents to help us out at the end of the collection to help bring some equipment to our locker at Granite City storage. If you are able to help us out please let a coach know on Saturday at the field or just report to Granite City by noon. One of our coaches will be there to help with the returns. If there are parent volunteers to help with the returns, please see Steve Koski at Pageant field and/or meet at Granite City.

We also need to confirm that we have everyone correct address so that we can get the banquet letter out to you.

If you have any questions, please email me.

Thank you to all the families for your dedication and loyalty to our team. You have all been a huge help. Its been a great year and we are sad to see it come to an end. We look forward to seeing you all again next season!!!!

    Thank you again!!!!
