4th of July Blast
Congratulations on the winning the 4th of July Blast PAL/BOS/RYO Tournament! Great job by all!

Here are some highlights:
Mike Lyon – 1-hit shutout in the championship gamefor his 5th win of the summer – he had 7 Ks, and struck out possibly a 20-year old slugger twice, Mike also had a nice weekend with the bat .400 BA, 4 RBIs, and 3 runs scored
Anthony Carsuo - .538 BA, .625 OBP, 2 2B, 2 HRs, 7 runs scored, 4 RBIs
Joe Montana - .600 BA, .636 OBP, 4 2B, 6 runs scored, 3 RBIs and a SB
Ryan Jordan – BEST offensive tournament as a Blue Knight, .500 BA, 3 2Bs, 4 runs scored and 2 RBIs
Luke Noone - .500 BA, 2 HRs, 4 runs scored, 5 RBIs, walk-off single in the 8th inning,
Ryan Halverson – solid pitching performance in Game 2 holding a team with 47 runs scored in the tournament to 2 runs in 5 innings!
Mike Fiederlein – great relief work – getting a win and a save in the first two games.
Domingo Rodriguez – pitched 3 2/3 innings of one-hit relief for a win, .429 BA and had 8 RBIs
Remy Janco – Threw six strong innings against the CT Blue Jays for his 3rd win of the summer.
Nick DeMarchis – continues to do what it takes to help the team win. Nick played 4 positions this weekend. .417 BA, .588 OBP, 5 runs scored, 3 2Bs, and 5 BBs.
Tyler Cork – continues to be a presence in the lineup. Tyler’s 3-run double capped a 6-run first inning to help beat the LI Extreme in pool play.
Joe Policastro - .286 BA, 5 runs scored, 4 RBIs and 2 SBs, and hit his first HR of the summer, while playing solid SS all weekend.
Angelo Biondo - .579 OBP, 8 BBs and 7 runs scored – team continue to pitch around Angelo!
Steve Fitzpatrick – was a pest on the bases all weekend with .429 OBP, and gutted out a tough to invisible strike zone for his third win of the summer against the LI Extreme in pool play.
Alex Indelicato – pitched 3 scoreless innings in his Blue Knights summer debut on Friday.
Mike Manning – had four hits in six Abs on Friday helping the team to a 2-0 start.

#1 Seed PAL Blue Knights will play the winner of the #2 v. #3 game for the Tournament Championship.

Congratulations too many that have and do wear the PAL Blue Knights

    Congratulations too many that have and do wear the PAL
Blue Knights' jersey in the summer time on a great 2009 High School season. 
On the final day of the season six Blue Knights' alumni and one current team
member started in the Suffolk County Finals! Kyle Olsen has had a dream season
capped off by a magical playoff run that netted him the Suffolk County AA
Playoff MVP!  Olsen is one of five former Blue Knights' to be selected
All-County for the 2009 season.  Olsen along with James Lomangino will
participate in the 5th Annual RTC Grand Slam Challenge being played at
Farmingdale college on Friday  night at 7:00 pm.

PAL Blue Knights
A Suffolk tradition since 1980

The Blue Knights are entering its 30th year. Coach Steve Corrado from Babylon (formerly North Babylon) will continue running the program that exemplifies the excellence of baseball in Suffolk County. The Blue Knights is an elite 16-year-old tournament team. In the past two summer campaigns the Blue Knights posted a 39-18 record against top tournament competition throughout the Northeast and in California, playing tournament teams from eight states. The team will participate in 5-6 tournaments throughout the summer, including a tournament at the Cleveland Indians Spring Training facility in Winter Haven, Florida. Members of the team are expected to participate in weekly practices or scrimmage games arranged on weekends when there are no tournaments by the coaching staff. The Blue Knights look forward to continue representing Suffolk baseball in an exemplary manner.

The anticipated tournaments the Blue Knights will be participating in 2009 are:
