2010 Team
Pride Finishes 4th at USSSA 16B World Series
July 26, 2009
The Pride returned to a familiar setting to play in the 2009 16U B Nationals in Overland Park, Kansas. Exceptional Pitching and Defense carried the Pride through Pool Play and the Winners Bracket, all the way to Saturday before losing a close 3-0 game. Moving to an Elimination game, the Pride bounced back and won to advance to the "Final Four" on Sunday. A rematch with the Blue Diamonds came up a little short as the Pride Season was ended with a 2-1 defeat. As a result, the Pride finished the World Series at 7-2 and a solid 4th place finish out of a field of 48 16B Teams.
For 2009 the Pride ended the season with a record of 50-29-10. Playing very competitively at the 16A Level in the final months of the Season we are looking forward to returning as an older 16 Team in 2010.
Thanks for a Great Season and Effort from all of the Players, Parents, and Coaches.
We wish those of you that will not be with the Team next year the best of luck and welcome the New Players to our 2010 Team.

Pride "Goes to State"

This weekend the Pride competed in the 2009 Nebraska ASA 16A State Tournament in Hastings Nebraska. In a 21 Team field the pride went 3 - 2 losing a pair of 1 - 0 games to the eventual Tournament First and Third Place Teams.
Hastings proved to be a nice venue for the ASA Event. Their good facilities and a break on the weather, were a pleasure to play at!!!

Pride Plays "The Spoiler" in the 2009 ASA Omaha Qualifier

After a 1 - 0 Olympic Tiebraker Loss on Friday the Pride worked through the Losers Bracket ending the Tournament for Sizzle Red and Quakes Black 16 Teams. In their final game of the day, Echoes Extreme outscored the Pride with a 6 - 4 Victory and ended the Tournament for them.
This weekend proved to be a good indication that when the Pride plays to their ability they are very competitive in their age group.

"3 In A Row"

This weekend the Pride competed in a USSSA Qualifier in Lincoln, NE. For the weekend the Pride scored 27 Runs and gave up 3. Winning all but 1 game in Pool Play.
A 12 - 0 and 3 -1 win in Bracket Play allowed the Pride to finish on Top for the 3rd Tournament in a Row.

Pride Wins "Gary Baker Blowout"

The Pride travelled to Blair for the annual "Gary Baker Blowout" after a weekend off for Rest and Relaxation. For the weekend the Pride had 5 wins and 1 tie, scored 24 runs and gave up 5.
Exceptional Pitching, Solid Defense, Timely, and Explosive Hitting, allowed the Pride to stay in close games and emerge as the Victor.
Great effort by all!!!
With this win and the KC USSSA Memorial the Pride has won "Back to Back" Championships in their last 2 Tournament Competions.

Pride Rocks USSSA Memorial Day "Grand Slam" To Become Champions

The Pride returned to KC on Friday for their annual outing at Worlds Of Fun. After a fun day at the park, the Team got down to business and went a perfect 8 - 0, dominating the USSSA Memorial Day Qualifier. Giving up just 3 runs and scoring 42 over the 8 games played, the Pride was "In the Drivers Seat" for the Holiday Weekend.
Solid defense, Great Pitching, Hot Bats and Great Team Effort allowed the Pride to have the best "Top To Bottom Tournament" to date.
Well Done!!!!!
USSSA Ankeny - Runner Up

Pride Finishes "Runner Up" to Salty Sizzle Blue Team
The Pride traveled to Ankeny, IA for the annual "Midwest Showdown" on Saturday, May 2nd. They worked their way through Bracket play to earn the right to play Omaha Sizzle Blue in the all Nebraska Championship Game. A 4 run inning proved to be the differnece as the Pride finished the Tournament with a 4 - 0 loss.
Congratulations to Sizzle with their win and a dominant weekend performance!!
With the 2nd place finish the Pride solidified their birth to the USSSA Nationals in Shawnee, KS. Congratulations Pride Girls!!!
