WELCOME
Welcome to the home of the Regency ROOKIE HOCKEY LEAGUE. This is an adult men's developmental league based exclusively at the Regency Ice Rink in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Our focus is development of players' skill, skating, and game play in a true league play environment.
We run three seasons annually. Our Spring season runs January through mid-April. The Summer season runs May through the end of June and then July through the end of August. Our Fall season begins in September and goes through mid-December. Each game is controlled by a referee and USA Hockey Rules apply. This is a no-fighting, no checking, limited contact league. We pride ourselves on good conduct play and players are to attempt to avoid contact as much as possible. Aggressive play, checking, and fighting is not tolerated and players may be removed from the league as a result. We only accept novice skaters and those who are new to ice hockey. INTERESTED IN JOINING THE REGENCY ROOKIE LEAGUE?
Are you a new skater? New to playing ice hockey? We are always looking for new players to join our league. Our league's goal is to provide a structured game setting to new players so they can play the game and develop their skills. Each team has several higher skilled players to coach and mentor novices. Every play must have current USA Hockey player registration.
If you are interested in playing in the league, please e-mail the Commissioner. New players interested in joining the league get placed on a free agent list and may be placed on a team mid-season based on roster openings.
ROOKIE LEAGUE & ADVANCED LEAGUE SURVEY
FOR CURRENT PLAYERS IN THE ROOKIE LEAGUE: We have created a survey to seek opinions and thoughts on an advanced league at the Regency Sportsrink. This survey has some questions regarding the current rookie league and the potential for a league to place skaters who move on from the rookie level. Sunday, June 17th (Father's Day)
Monday, May 27th (Memorial Day)
June 27th through July 27th (Rink closed)
