It looks like the rumor mill is turning at full speed as I hear a possible scorpions sighting for RSC in 2010. Can it be that RSC Hall Of Fame Manager Juan Sanchez is bringing the Scorpions back for another run at the Sunday championship? Will the scorpions sting be the same ....stay tuned.
I know things get hot but it seems the BVD Cardinals will be arriving in 2010 for the summer season and they will look to challenge the Rough Riders teams for superiority. Wow , who knows what else RSC has in store for 2010.
I always say that I pride myself on making things interesting and I have to apologize to the loyal RSCIOANS for not keeping the website up to par. I have been slacking or should I say taking a much needed rest as I pretty much got burned out but enough with the excuses as I always push myself to the next level. Hope you enjoy the site and stay tuned for more and exciting information on what's to come.
I would like to thank all the teams for doing their part to make RSC another successful story as we crossed boundaries into the Ridgewood times including the Daily News. I am working with these guys for next year to bring more and superior things and there are quite a few surprises for the players as well as the teams to achieve for next year. I told you no boring stuff around here as I always find a way to keep things interesting whether directly or indirectly. Make RSC your home for 2010....
Kudos to the Heavy Hitters for making it to both championships on Saturdays and weeknights. Heavy Hitters Manager Irv has a chance at history this weekend as he will attempt to win both championships thus giving him a chance to be added to the Hall of Fame for most championships won in RSC . Their are a lot of good names in that Hall of Fame and I'm sure he's gunning for a shot at being included with the best managers in the game today.

Kudos to the Diablos softball team who ventured into the weeknight leagues and even though they lost to the Lunatics they still made noise on Sundays as they defeated arch-rivals the Blazers and advanced to their first league championship in RSC !
Yes , people we have caught up with team D-Block members Beast and Buc chilling before the game. They said they would go to the championship and Buc said he would lead by example. Everything turned up roses as they went 3 games and won the finale as D-Block heads to their first championship on Saturdays.
Congrats to the Hellboyz on improving the team and doing what they needed to to do to get to the semi-finals against the Heavy Hitters. They are destined to get better as I see potential for them to make some serious noise in 2010.
Diablos vs Fyllthy Animals : Championship Preview
A tale of epic proportions as both teams have knocked off the division champs in their respected divisions. This is no easy task as the fall season has become a battle ground as new champions to this date has been crowned with no repeats. Fyllthy Animals have 1 championship under their belts but it was when Christopher " Buc " Rowe lead the team on Saturdays. This Fyllthy Animals are lead by manager Thomas " McFyllth " Wingate as he heads into his first championship series. Diablos Manager Bryan " Lebrew " Munoz will also be making his first trip to the championship dance after numerous playoff trips as the Diablos have come together under his leadership. Both teams split during the regular season and both teams come armed with big game pitchers as this championship once again on Sundays has come to define what RSC is doing and proving that on any given Sunday you never know. Straight Talk With Rebel2000
In an effort to keep things in balance for next year , at the first meeting on Jan 10th all managers are to turn their deposits into League Director Irv whether it be cash or money order. No personal checks will be allowed as we had a problem with them during the season. I am outlining things for the future so that no mistakes will happen and we are both on the same page as I am the League Administrator. This is how the breakdown goes :
Irv : League Director
* Must collect all monies involving the leagues and distribute the championship prize at the end of the season which includes the money distribution for 1st place and best offensive and best defensive teams. All monies for the parks dept is due in February so that no one can say they didn't know.
* Must enforce all rules and regulations outlined for the upcoming season with no favoritism towards any team.
* Update teams on certain situations after conferring with me so that we are on the same page
* Recruiting new umpires and new teams as well as helping with the expansion of RSC into new areas and not limited to obtaining new fields for growth of this league
Rebel2000 : League Administrator
* Responsible for updating the site which includes schedules and important events to come
* Responsible for the Umpires and crew chiefs which includes rotations for the season and playoffs and championship games
* Attend meetings at the parks dept to discuss future situations
* Recruiting new umpires and new teams as well as helping with the expansion of RSC into new areas and not limited to obtaining new fields for growth of this league
These are the outlines for us to follow with no interference from me when it comes to him ruling on a team { whether it be a suspension or etc...} except in the case when a protest is lodged. This is the same formula that will be used as no interference can come from him involving all other matters unless a needed opinion is needed to make a situation better.
We are hellbent on making RSC a more rounded league and this is what is needed to be done to insure this continues.
All monies collected at the January meeting will be put aside and when it comes time to pay the parks in February , Irv will turn over said balance so that permits can be paid for the entire season with no interruptions. Managers please understand what we are doing as the parks have 5 fields under construction for next year and we will make all arrangements to keep you posted. Thank you for listening and I will be back with the playoff updates on who I think will win and why including updates on the teams who graced our fields this past season including the summer.
Managers Role
It is imperative that going into the 2010 season all managers are to take the other teams lineup. You don't have to do the stats but the line-up sheets which will be distributed to both managers must be kept in your book for accuracy. I in turn besides monitoring the website , have assigned 3 crew chief umpires. I will not be asking all the umpires information but instead will go to the crew chief of each league as they will be held responsible for all infractions that occur. The following people have been assigned to the following leagues in 2010 :
* Sunday Head Umpire : John " Chuck " Billera {917} 751-4155
* Saturday Head Umpire : Frank Gonzo {646} 731-8327
* Weeknight Head Umpire : Billy Pellicane {347}885-1237
Managers are to take down these numbers and store them for next year as these are the people you will contact when their is a problem involving rules and regulations or situations involving the umpires not limited to being where they are supposed to be. Any situation they cannot handle , then you are to contact me asap and I will deal with it directly. This will be stored in the league memo as a reminder of what's to come. There will be no room for discussion on this matter and further details will be explained at the meeting.
Umpire Notes
1- All umpire uniforms will consist of the shirt provided by the league and all umpires must wear either black or blue pants with black shoes. We are going to look professional in 2010 !
2- Umpires must be at the field 20-30 minutes prior to game time. Arriving at game time or after is unacceptable!
3- The crew chiefs as well as I will be monitoring all activities as this will be treated just like a job in which rules and regulations must be followed. We also will be working with managers by asking them to let us know what's going on whether it's being on time or providing details on what happened on a week to basis so that we are sure that all umpires are knowledgeable of the rules and regulations involving RSC !
4- Umpires are to enforce all rules and regulations. There are no agreements between managers and yourselves.
5- Each umpire is subject to review at the end of the season or at the end of the year. All umpires are on probation until proven otherwise.
6- No team is allowed to bat with 12 guys whatsoever. Any umpire who allows that to happen is subject to be removed period.
6- Umpire dues for the 2010 season is $ 120.00 dollars. No exceptions !
To The Manager of Hellboyz { Pepe }
I'm responding to a situation even though it was after the game for moral support as I promised that I would at least investigate the situation to the fullest. 1 manager { Buc from D-Block } has vouched that the suggested player who the Hellboyz considers to be illegal was at the game. Now I have to consider a few things in which I must inform the Hellboyz when it comes to protesting which is clearly in the rulebooks and that is when it comes to protesting an illegal player it must be done at the beginning of the game , not at the conclusion of a game. Now since the manager has looked at the team roster sheet and the player Derrick is listed but it also shows that he played no games at all while the other players have. Unfortunately , I cannot reverse what's been done as we discussed at the end of the game when you first brought this to my attention. Since there is no minimum requirement on the number of games that is supposed to be played and how this part was not covered by the manager Irv is beyond me , so it leaves me with no choice as things must go forward as is. I apologize for the situation at hand and this will not happen again. In closing this is the best situation that was outlined as I had no other choice.
Sincerely yours ,
Rebel2000
League Administrator
