All American Tournament
Over the weekend of Nov. 22-24, the Bantam Wildcats travelled to Blaine, Minnesota to take part in the All American Girls Hockey Tournament.
In their 1st game against Duluth, Minnesota the Wildcats held a 3-1 lead into the third period, but Duluth stormed back with a 3 unanswered goals, the last coming late in the game to score a 4-3 win. Goal scorers for the Wildcats were Mackenzie Monico with a pair and Chrissy Colizza with a single marker.
In their second game, the Wildcats dropped a disappointing 2-1 loss to the Winnipeg Twins. Mackenzie Monico scored the lone Wildcat goal.
In the third game, the Wildcats stored back and beat the Colorado Rock Stars 6-0. Olivia Pollari led the way with 2 goals. Single markers were scored by Chrissy Colizza, Meghan Gerrie, Mackenzie Monico and Dakota Rouse. Britney Zack chipped in with two assists. Kierstin Williams and Haley Rouillard shared the shutout.
In the final game of the tournament, the girls defeated NWT River Hawks from Minnesota by a score of 5-1. Goal scorers were Rachel Barban, Sarah Freeman, Mackenzie Monico and Dakota Rouse with two. Britney Zack chipped in with two assists.
Up next for the Wildcats is the Scarborough Tournament in January.
