Stars Face Do or Die
Celtics have taken a two games to one lead over CBN Slateworks Junior Stars following a 4 - 2 victory over the Stars. The Stars now face a do or die game Friday night at home when they host the Jr. Celtics. Our season is on the line Friday a loss and we are finished until the Don Johnson in April said manager Brian Hurley.
Josh Hurley and Fred Earle scored for the Stars. The Jungle Jim's Player of the Game went to Claude Garland of the Stars who put a spectular performance Sunday night.
Stars Even Series with Celtics
The CBN Slateworks Jr. Stars doubled the Jr.Celtics 6 - 3 Friday night in a fight filled affair. This one was never in doubt as the Stars led 2 - 0 after the first, 3 - 0 after the second. The Celtics finally got on the board with a two man advantage to start the third, the Stars responded with 3 more goals to lead 6 - 1, the Cetics score a couple of late goals to make the score respectful.
Late in the third period the fireworks began as the Celtics showed their frustration and six fighting majors and a total of 221 penalty minutes were called by referee Justin Day.
Game three goes Friday night at O'Heir Arena, game time 7:40.
Stars Open Playoffs February 17 Against Celtics
The CBN Slateworks Jr. Stars will open the playoffs on the road against the Jr. Celtics tomorrow February 17. Game time is 7:15 pm. Below is the complete schedule for the first round.
