Spikes win 18+ Fall Classic in Florida
The St. Louis Spikes became the first St. Louis team to win a championship at the Fall Classic in Jupiter/Port St. Lucie, Florida. The Spikes took 9 current members of the team to compete in a 4 game round robin plus playoffs. We went 2-1-1 in pool play and then beat the Georgia Barons in the semis 8-5 followed by the championship vs the Asheville Angels 7-1. Bill Boyer picked up 2 wins and major contributions were received from all.

Who are the St. Louis Golden Spikes?
The St. Louis Golden Spikes are a semi-pro baseball team located in St. Louis, Missouri. 2009 will be our 8th season. We are composed of former minor league and college players, playing baseball for the love of the game.
In 2008, we played in 2 leagues, the GBL and the Mon Claire Baseball League. We are always looking to pick up more games so if you are interested in setting up a game, please contact us.
