ST.THOMAS TOURNAMENT! A REAL SUCCESS
WOW! What a weekend.
The Chatham Strikers were in St.thomas for the St. Thomas Select tounament this past weekend.
After many hard fought games the Strikers made it to the final to capture 2nd place!
The team played extremely well and showed that they are team to be wary of. There were times when Chatham totally dominated the play.
The final was well played game with a lopsided score. St. Thomas come out strong very early with qucik goals. Chatham battled back but got plaque by fatigue and injury and in the end just couldn't net enough goals.
Goalkeeper Payden Barker got her first shutout and played very skillfully in the cage!
Of the 12 goals that the Striker scored, 7 went to Katelynn Hyatt, 2 to Krystal Warnock, 1 to Ellen Wanamaker, Kyla Brady,and Megan Rumble. Of course none of the goals would have been possible if not for the excellent mid field play by Beth Cowan, Sam DeBoer, Chelsea Peachy, Haley Anderson, and Kristin O'Neil.
The back end was tough as well. MaKenzie Raine, Kaylin Pretty, Victoria Harris all made sure that teams had to fight through their defence to get any shots.
Thanks to Maddy Tunstall for agreeing to come and play with the team for the weekend. Your hard work and ball skill was very much appreciated. We wish you the best in your own league.

The Chatham Strikers headed to Strathroy this past weekend for their 1st tournament of the year.
The team played very well and even injured at times.
The strikers ended up with a record of 2-1-1. Losing to St.Thomas in the Semi Final Round.
St.Thomas ended up winning the tournament.
It was a fun weekend with a few bumps and bruises (oh yeah and staples) but all in all it was a very successful tournament.
The entire squad should be proud of the way you played and the pride that you took in being a Chatham Striker!
