If you're looking for an alternative to the usual average club and recreational programs, then consider USA Stud Wrestling! We are dedicated to turning-out champion-calibre wrestlers!
We are a youth wrestling club based at Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, Oregon, about 15-miles from Portland. We will typically field a team of 50-to-75 competitive wrestlers, most of whom live in the Beaverton, Southridge, Hilhi, Glencoe, Aloha, Sunset, Westview, Liberty and Century high school areas. Our team wrestles the very best of the USA sanctioned Open Tournaments in Oregon, Washington and Idaho.
Our wrestlers need only ask one simple question...Do you want to be a "champion-calibre" wrestler..???... AND...How badly do you want it...???...
USA Stud Wrestling is fully funded through it's club training fee's.
For the 2009/2010 season, USA Stud Wrestling will again introduce "USA Team Elite", a tournament competition team of our select wrestlers who will train, specifically, to elevate their game compared to national-level competition. The USA Stud Wrestling training program is designed to take "beginners", or those possessing competitive wrestling skills, and to further develop those skills to a refined "champion-calibre" competitor. Utilizing outstanding facilities, the USA Stud Wrestling program is dedicated to developing a strong work ethic, increased self-esteem and self-confidence, respect, discipline and a strong character in all of our members!
Spanning both the colligiate and freestyle seasons, our training programs run from September through April. The one-time card cost is $35.00.
Basic club fee's for the 2009/2010 season, which fund our existence, are a mere $85.00 per season for "Beginners" and "Intermediate" level wrestlers and $150.00 for "USA Team Elite" wrestlers. "Beginner" wrestlers will compete in their own "beginner-level" saturday competition's, held throughout the season. Open Mat Attracts Williams, Rodriguez, King, & More!
The regular Sunday, 1:00 p.m. "Open Mat Practice" at Hillsboro High School is becoming quite the hang-out... for State Champion wrestlers, and those aspiring to become State Champions! With Hillsboro High School moving to the Top-2 in the State, more and more wrestlers are interested in "what's got them to this place so quickly, and what's with this fast-paced technique!"
As an example, in the room for the second consecutive Sunday was 2007-2008 Jefferson High School State Champion Terrance Williams, 2007/2008 Hillsboro High School Freshman State Champion Mikey Rodriguez, 2007/2008 Glencoe High School 3rd at State Kurry King, and many others! This weekend is expected to feature Hillsboro High School's David Noah, 2nd at State at 103-lb, and Zack Binkerd, Hillsboro High Schools' 112-lb'er who was 2nd at State in 2007/2008, along with Williams, Rodriguez, and King, plus Southridge wrestler Casey Young, a 125-lb-er, Alex Keezel from Westview, a 189-lb-er, Pat Neal from Aloha High School, a 130-lb-er, and many others!
It's not out of the question to see as many as 20 individual Top-4 State Placers in the room on any given Sunday, everyone wanting to find quality drilling partners, and quality technique.
Hillsboro High School Coach Ron Bresser, Mikey Rodriguez's career-long mentor, is in the room every Sunday, teaching wrestlers how is was that Rodriguez was able to vault to the top so quickly. Say's Coach Bresser, "it's all about individual focus, tough training partners, great technique, and superb execution, and finally DESIRE!!!" If you want it bad enough, you CAN make it happen!
Say's Coach Bresser, "our USA Stud Wrestling program is widely known for our tough, explosive, mat technique, in the down position... So wrestlers who are strong on their feet, such as Terrance Williams, will gravitate to our room to train with the likes of Mikey Rodriguez who is so explosive and understands the down position, how to score coming off the bottom, how to reverse straight to back-points."
The Hillsboro High School Mat Room is an "Open Mat" facility every Sunday at 1:00pm, allowing wrestlers from any high school in the state to get together, exchange technique, receive some solid coaching, and get ready for the upcoming season.
Say's Coach Bresser, "for those guys that are seniors this year, this is the last kick at the can, for many of them, their last chance for a state title. It's those guys that really want it, bad, and those are the guys that are getting in the room early to "do something about it!
Make plan's now to attend and train with some of the very best in the state!
Stud's Win At Seaside!!!
USA Stud Wrestling took some of it's best wrestlers to the "Battle Of The West Shore" in Seaside, Oregon and found the wrestling to thier liking!
Michael Bresser got things rolling in his first match of the day, dropping Gus Warren of All-Phase 5-3 in overtime. Gus and Michael battle most every year, and it was Gus who came out on top in 2007. This year though, Michael was ready for the challenge and it showed with a win. In his 2nd match-up, Michael faced Javen Rodriguez of Viper Wrestling in Bank's, Oregon. In 2007, Javen, a former Stud Wrestler, went to train in Banks, and went on to defeat Michael by way of a pin, but the story had a different outcome this time around. Michael scored the opening takedown and was never threatened in a 2-0 win. Michael finished in first-place overall at Seaside.
The Stud's Jacob Beck, an 80-lb midget wrestler showed what he's all about, wrestling to a 3rd place finish at Seaside, even though he lost just one match, to go along with two win's. Jacob is making great strides in his bid for a state title in 2008!
Rigo Rodriguez, wrestling in the Novice 65-lb class was brilliant in his first two matches, then came up short on his final match-up of the day and finished 2nd overall. Rigo was leading 4-2 with just 20-seconds left, got reversed on, and gave up back points in a 6-4 loss.
Ronnie Bresser, a 69-lb Schoolboy Stud, wrestled up in the 77-lb weight-class and showed why he's the class of the Northwest, romping to four straight win's, including a 15-4 tech-fall over Viper Wrestling's Joey Rodriguez which sent the Stud's 9-time National Champion into the final against Idaho state champion Michael Cook. In the final, Ronnie scored first and took a 2-0 lead into the 3rd period. In the 3rd, Ronnie tilted Cook twice for a 7-2 win, and the championship!
Zechariah Bresser, USA Stud Wrestlings' 84-lb monster wrestled his way to 5-consecutive win's enroute to a championship showdown with Frederick Green of Orting, Washington. Grenn showed why he belonged in the Championship, with three win's in convincing style. The championship, though, proved to be more than Frederick Green could handle, as Bresser romped to a 14-0 tech-fall!
Ben Young, wrestling in the Schoolboy 175-lb class proved to be the class of the tournament in the heavier weights, fighting his way to two consecutive win's and the championship! Ben has shown immense progress in his training and no doubt will be in contention for a state title in 2008!

The 2008 Edition of the USA Stud Wrestling Summer National Training Camp has been set for early August, and the abundance of "National-Level" technique set to be unveiled is outstanding!
Scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, August 8th, 9th, and 10th, this years three-day camp will feature another outstanding line-up of coaches! Say's Coach Bresser "Mikey is the first of many superb "state champion calibre" wrestlers to come out of our youth program and make it to the high school level, so it's exciting to see him perform so well in his first year at this all new level". 2006 Stud Camp A Huge Success!
From the moment the doors opened on "Day #1" of this years 2006 USA Stud Summer National Training Camp, it was evident that this particular camp had all the makings of being the "very best ever", and by the time the three days had wrapped-up, it was very clear indeed!!!
This 2006 edition of the "Stud Camp" kicked-off with a fast-paced Friday, with nationally-known granby specialist Keith Lowrance from Virginia at the controls. Lowrance, a USA High School Coach Of The Year, worked both himself and the 140 wrestlers in attendance into a constant sweat! While some of Oregon's less experienced coaches might suggest that attending a "granby-type" camp is a waste of time, those in attendance realized how ridiculous those suggestions were, right from the beginning!
Coach Lowrance worked wrestlers from across the country through takedowns, rolls and tilts, through turks and turk cradles, breakdowns and defense and much, much more! It was obvious that the "granby" was not the only item on the menu!
Saturday's sessions picked-up right where Fridays' left off with an expanding tilt session, a solid granby session, both short and long sits, transitioning from offense to defence and back to offense, and some superb defense.
Sunday's sessions featured an explosive turk session, highlited by demonstrations of turks from many positions, an exciting "side-ride cradle" session, defending the cradle, inside and outside cradles, cradle counters and even counters to cradle counters.
Live wrestling sessions were scattered throughout the three days of camp and some dynamite matches were had by all!
Our special thanks go out to all in attendance, to the many coaches who contributed time and energy on the mats, to the team mothers who prepared lunch each day for the wrestlers in attendance, and especially to coach Lowrance who has confirmed his return to our Stud Camp!
The next USA Stud hosted training camp is our 2006 Christmas Camp of Champs, slated for late December. Registrations are now being accepted online.
USA Stud Wrestling coaches have been asked to attend and coach at a southern Oregon camp slated for the first weekend in October, as well as Washington camp slated for the Auburn area in September.
Details for both of these camps will be posted very soon, here on our website!

The World Of Wrestling and Wrestling USA Magazine have announced the world's best, some 70 wrestlers selected from over 10,000 competitors, the 2004 World All-Star Team!!! These wrestlers, including 5 Oregon stud's, will be honored at the 2004 Tulsa, Oklahoma Kick-Off Classic, slated for November 19 & 20, 2004.
Oregon wrestlers named to the 2004 team include Oregon Stud Club wrestler, 2004 National Triple Crown Winner 9-year old Ronnie Bresser, 2004 Kick-Off Classic Champion, All-Phase 90-lb wrestler Cody Crawford, 2002 National Triple Crown Winner, All-Phase wrestler R.J. Congratulation's to Oregon's very best! No doubt these five really put-in the mat time and deserve every bit of recognition they get!
Who's The Sissy?...Well, obviously it's Sissy Bresser, our new 5-year old PeeWee wrestler. Her training partner is 5-year old Gunnar Partain who's just itching to show her the ropes! Sissy is the younger sister of Ronnie, Zechariah, and Michael Bresser. Gunnar is the younger brother of Stud wrestler Graysen Partain! Sissy and Gunnar are just two of the over 10 "new" Jr. Stud peewee wrestlers that have joined Oregon Stud Club Wrestling for the 2004/2005 season. If these two are anything like their older sibblings, these two will go on to record some impressive career's! They'll wrestle this year in the Metro Youth League!
Stud Coach Billy Groat Is Boss!
New Jr. Stud's, 5-year old Gunnar Partain(top), and Jonathon Hamilton, age 4(bottom), are in one of those gruelling/mandatory drill sessions that can not end soon enough!
These two are really looking forward to the "get a drink" break, so they can forget the drink and just climb the wall's!
Intensive Drilling, or Faking?
These two said the were "working hard", but by the look on Sissy's face, she meant "hardly working"! Oregon Stud Club Wrestling "Beginner" session's run 90-minutes, and include a conditioning program, drilling, some games, and often some live wrestling!
Stud Website Win's Web Award!
The announcement came this morning... The Oregon Stud Club/USA Stud Wrestling website, rewarded for the long and countless hours of site maintenance, has been awarded the Tom Fortunado Gold Cup as the "Outstanding Website For Amateur Wrestling"!
The Nation's Top-10 Wrestlers for the 2004 Season!!! The 2004/2005 World Of Wrestling/Wrestling USA Magazine "National Pre-Season Top-5" has been released and the Oregon Stud Clubs Ronnie and Zechariah Bresser are included, for the third straight year!
2004 National Triple Crown winner, the Stud Clubs', Ronnie Bresser is a Top-Seed based on his winning the 2003 Eastern USA Nationals, the 2004 Tulsa National Championships, and the 2004 Reno World Championships. Because of his dominance at the National-level, Ronnie is also expected to be named to the 2004/2005 World All-Star Team soon!
Younger Brother, Zechariah Bresser, a 2003/2004 World All-Star Team member, has also been named to the "National Pre-Season Top-5". Zechariah placed 2nd at the 2004 U.S./Tulsa National Championships, and 2nd again at the 2004 Reno World Championships.
The Oregon Stud Club is busy preparing now for the upcoming 2004/2005 competition season, which includes a heavy dose of State, Regional, and National events.
2nd National Title in 3 Years!
How's that for "CONSISTENCY"?
For the Oregon Stud Club coaches, Rob Berger (2nd from left) and Ron Bresser (far right) capturing a 2nd National Team Title in three years means "Consistency", and that is always "Goal #1". Pictured left to right; "America's Greatest Legend" Danny Hodge, Central Oregon Stud Club Head Coach Rob Berger, 55-lb Tyler Berger, 43-lb Ronnie Bresser, 46-lb Zechariah Bresser, and Oregon Stud Club Head Coach Ron Bresser.
The Greatest...Danny Hodge & The Trinity Award
How much better could it get?
Your 9-years old, You win your 5th National Championship, the Ultimate
National Triple Crown, and your presenter is "The World's Greatest Legend" Danny Hodge!!!
That's the way it happened for 5X Oregon State Champion, Oregon Stud Club wrestler, Ronnie Bresser who wrapped-up his collegiate/folkstyle season in grand style winning the 2004 Reno World Of Wrestling Championships! Now, having completed his 5th season at the National level, Ronnie has gained the experience necessary to overcome many obstacles, however, next year, the 42-pounder moves up into the 10-and Under age-class where the lowest weight-class is 52-lbs. Now that's a challenge!!!
5th Time a Real Charm!
"America's Greatest Legend" Danny Hodge presents Oregon's Ronnie Bresser with his 5th National Championship trophy! The Oregon Stud Club wrestler displays his "gold medal" with his proud, new-found, Grandpa!
Ronnie defeated "good friend",Colorado's,Tony DeBaca, who is the 2004 Rocky Mountain Nationals Champion, a Triple Crown Champion, and Golden Gear Award Winner, in the 2004 Reno World's final. Ronnie and Tony will square-off again at the 2004 Stud's Of The Century National Training Camp, scheduled for August 20th, 21st, and 22nd in Hillsboro, Oregon. The 3-day National Camp features over 100 wrestlers representing 9-states, with over 50 various state champions attending.
2004 Reno World's...Unbelievable Stud!!!
What a year for the Oregon Stud Club's 9-year old Ronnie Bresser! In November 2003 Ronnie won the Cliff Keen Kick-Off Classic in Tulsa, in January he claimed his 4th U.S. National Championship, in February Ronnie grabbed his 5th Oregon State Championship, and in April he captured the 2004 Reno World's and his first ever National Triple Crown. Here, Ronnie shows his Reno Championship hardware!
2004 Reno World Youth Runner-Up!
The Oregon Stud Club's Zechariah Bresser claimed the Runner-up award in his young year at the 2004 Reno World Youth Wrestling Championships. Next year, he'll be one of the oldest in his age group - and he wants #1...BAD!
At this years' 2004 Reno World's, Zechariah, a 2X National Champion, dropped a tough decision to 6X National Champion Sean Russell of Dacula, Georgia.
Zechariah heads a "star studded" line-up into the 2004/2005 season for Oregons' "Stud Team Elite", who will be chasing another National Team Championship next season!
Another Reno Team Title...2nd in 3 Years!
A proud "Papa" or WHAT? Stud Club Coach Randy Moya hoist's the 2004 Reno World Youth Wrestling National Team Championship trophy!
Stud Capture's 2004 National Triple Crown!
You couldn't have written the script any better! As if your standard Championship and Runner-Up trophies wern't enough, The Oregon Stud Club left the 2004 Reno World Youth Wrestling Championships with the National Triple Crown/Trinity Award, and the 2004 Division 2 National Team Championship hardware as well! What a performance!
They were "written-down goals", say's Stud Club Head Coach Ron Bresser. We talked about Reno at length and determined that we had a legitimate shot at being repeat Team Champions, if everything fell in place, or at least close. We also wanted that Trinity Award, the National Triple Crown. If I had to put my finger on one thing, say's Bresser, it was an emphasis on being "Our Best" as often as we could. Be focused, be intense, be aggressive, and finish!
It was a great weekend for 4-time National Champion Ronnie Bresser. Wrestling in the 8 & Under 43-lb Division, Ronnie had claimed the first two legs of the National Trinity Award by winning Novembers Kick-Off Classic and the Tulsa Grand Nationals in January. While the numbers in Ronnie's weight-class at the Kick-Off were low at 17 wrestlers, Tulsa Nationals in Oklahoma saw a stacked, powerful line-up of 21 competitors. In total, there were 14 wrestlers at Nationals in the 43-lb Division who had won a National-Calibre Tournament. At the 2004 Reno Championships, only one competitor, Rocky Mountain Nationals Champion and Triple Crown Winner Tony DeBaca showed up to wrestle Oregon's best! Four wrestlers from that Division had moved up to the 46-lb class. So it was Oregon vs. Colorado, Ronnie vs. Tony, and when the dust settled, the Oregon Stud Clubs Ronnie Bresser had claimed his 5th National Championship, the National Triple Crown, and gave the Oregon team standings a huge lift!
At 46-lb, still in the 8 & Under Division, little brother Zechariah Bresser was on a roll early. Zech faced 2004 Las Vegas Worlds Champion Tirso Lara from California, and after a slow start, Zech picked-up steam and rolled to a 10-4 decision. Next up, Washington's Tom Pinard. The Stud Clubs Zech Bresser issued a 16-0 tech-fall and moved on to a match-up with 2004 Mid-America Classic Champion Derek Huff from Colorado in what would prove to be a Semi-Final match-up. It was a great match-up, Huff a thrower and shooter facing Oregon's Stud, a counter-style wrestler, big on hips and strength. Oregon's Bresser built a 5-1 lead after period #1 and chose down to open period #2. It didn't take long before Huff showed his power, driving a raised arm-bar to a point where it tweaked Zechariah's shoulder. Rolling in pain, Zech had to fight-off the pain in order to continue. Favoring his injured left-arm, Zech showed his championship grit and held onto his 5-1 lead after two periods. It was in period three that Zechariah found position and stretched his lead to 10-1, and then caught Huff with a throw and pin at 2:43. That win put Zech Bresser into the Championship final, facing 8-time National Champion Sean Russell of Lawrenceville, Georgia. Russell showed why he was given the #1 ranking, driving to a 4-0 1st period lead. It was 5-2 after period #2 and 7-2 when the final buzzer sounded, Russell a winner, again. In the wrestleback for true 2nd, Mason Lucero of Texas came from behind and forced overtime with the regulation score tied at 4-4.
It was a one-minute overtime, and with 15-seconds remaining, The Stud Club's Bresser executed a takedown and won 6-4, to claim 2nd place.
In the 49-lb weight-class, Oregon Stud Club wrestlers Chase Park and Kaleb Raber wrestled brilliantly, each winning two matches and losing two.
