CFWBL Back On Track
After a short break from the league it started back up with a great game. The league has agreed to focus on the season and not some tournamnet.
CFWBL Gives Ballwin Long Ride Home
The CFWBL knows just the right way to continue its tradition.
The ‘CFWBL Legends,’ a team managed by longtime wiffleballer Mitch Cox beat ‘Allballwin,’ a team recently rounded up by Sean Ullrich; Marquette High School freshman, Sunday night.
The Legends, composed of the CFWBL’s top and most dedicated players, beat Ullrich’s squad by a score of 29-11. According to Legend member Chad Prsha, this was a victory the team earned.
“We came out a bit shaky, but as the innings went on we got the hitting and fielding goin,” said Prsha.
Prsha also had to add that it was a whole team effort that made the game turn out perfectly for the Legends.
“There were no key moments, the whole game was key.”
Prsha and teammates have been dedicated CFWBL members almost half of their lives. The CFWBL, which stands for Chesterfield Farms Wiffle Ball League, features four teams, with some players that consider wiffle ball one of their top priorities.
Ullrich, however, didn’t think the league was as serious as it appeared. This prompted him to put together a wiffle ball team, featuring kids from only Ballwin, in order to challenge CFWBL stars. He brought together 4 kids, and named the team ‘Allballwin’
Allballwin jumped out to a hot start, scoring 5 runs against Legends pitcher Tommy Yoon in the first inning.
According to Grant Janssen, Head Umpire, he wasn’t surprised this happened.
“Their team is stacked with talent,” said Janssen.
However, Ullrich’s squad took a fall after the 2nd inning, when John Church came in to pitch.
“I was scared for a little but knew we could do it and I had confidence in my players,” said Cox.
Church finished off the game with a brilliant performance, allowing a mere one run during his time on the mound.
According to Sean Abernathy, CFWBL member, Church’s performance was sensational.
“It was the best pitching I’ve ever seen in my life, especially against that powerful lineup.”
The games between the two, however, are not over yet. A new team representing Chesterfield Farms, the Heroes, will be clashing with Allballwin, being the next game in a planned five game series with Ballwin.

Even though none of you played every last one of you has done so much for the league and would take a lifetime to thank. I hope everyone of you can be a part of this rivalry but you dont take the field we need you alot more than you think.
Matt Cox, Danny Church, Andy Rosburg- A big thanks goes out to you guys. Without you 3 the CFWBL wouldnt exist. None of us would know what the feeling is like to play in games like these. And tonight i am proud to say we honored and represented you guys as a league. We took care of buisness and when Ballwin goes home to talk about how good we are they should know we are this way because of you 3. Running around the historical Dejournet Drive with the entire league was an experience i will cherish and it was my greatest CFWBL moment because it was a CFWBL moment not a team moment or individual moment but a league one.
I Love You All. Without you there is no league
Game 1, Sheer Exellcence
The day couldn't have been better in the CFWBL today when the 5 Legends stepped on the field and couldn't have played a more perfect game. After a shaky start the Legends were just too good, too experienced, and too motivated for the Ballwin squad. With many Joel errors came many Legend executions. Chad Prsha won MVP for the game with 4 HRs and 12 RBIs. After 9 innings of play and many run rules All Ballwin was overmatched and took a whopping defeat of 29-11. The victory seemed too good too be true. Way to go CFWBL!

The CFWBL
When i think of legends in the baseball world, some names jump out at me; Babe Ruth, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron. Those men are the best at what they did. When you look down at your jersey it represents that we are the best at what we do. Wiffleball. To Chesterfield and outsiders this is just a game. For us this is about representing the greatest league the CFWBL. When we tell our kids about our childhood experiences they won't include who we hung out with or who we dated it will be about what we did. The one thing we did better than anything else was play the game we made successful. When you look at our opponents and what they do you won't say they played wiffleball. Kevin watches sprts in his free time, and Dustin juggles tennis ballshis ipod and lifts weights in his free time, Mitch Cox shows his talents of wiffleball in his free time. We play dress up while they do those things. All 5 of us taking the field aren't playing for bragging rights over Chesterfield. Were playing to show that our league will always be taken as a serious joke and will always be known as the worst there ever was. All 5 of us must contribute every way possible and play this very game that WE invented and not them. I have one last thing to say, when you hold that yellow bat in the palms of your hands or step on to the playing grass just think about all those great memories weve had together on that very field. All those laughs and all those fights. Because thats what makes us the CFWBL. I wanna look back on this day and know us 5 came here to win and when I'm looking back upon this day I know that we did win and we conquered and wore the CFWBL across our chest with pride, honor, and duty.

BALLWIN VS. CFWBL
Sean Ullrich a member of the slum Ballwin has shown his disregard for the league and he has been condescending. He has proposed a series in which the 5 legends of the CFWBL; Tommy, Chad, John, Ryan R, and Mitch will play his 4 Ballwin recruits. This series will be played soon. We would love to see everybody attend to cheer on the Greatest and only successful league the CFWBL in a great matchup between wiffleball stars and baseball stars. Lets show them that we mean all buisness.
Beginning Games Exceed Expectations
The tradition of the CFWBL was expressed in the first 2 games of the 09 season. With many fights, screams, and errors came a great deal of emotion when both games came down to the wire. A theme shown in both games was the need for better fielding. Looking at stats batting between the 3 teams that have played showed very similar results, but if you look at back at these games all big rallies happened due to mistakes and errors made by players.
