TRC BOYS  SUMMER  BASKETBALL PROGRAM

Towson Recreation council will sponsor a summer basketball league this year.  We will have 3 age groups listed below, that will play weeknights between 6 and 10 pm, depending on the number of teams in each group.  The younger boys don't usually play past 8 or 8:30.

Age groups are:                             

9-10 on Tuesday $35 .

11-13 on Monday and Wednesday $65 .

14-17 on Tuesday and Thursdays $75.

                         We encourage boys to sign up for the age group they would fit in next school year.  We are flexible to slot boys where they fit best.

Games are played at Dumbarton Middle and Towson High School.

THIS IS A REC LEAGUE, the teams are divided up as evenly as possible.   There will be no playoffs or championships, just 6 weeks of basketball.   

We are always in need of coaches and volunteers, kids love the summer program because they enjoy the wide open play and low key coaching. Neither NBA or NCAA experience is necessary.

We plan on starting June 24th and will finishing on July 31.  We generally try to place 10 boys per team as many boys are unable to make every game. 

The high school boys will have adult referees, the younger boys will have our youth referees. 

9/10 boys will use 28.5" balls, 11-13 & 14-17 boys will use regulation 29.5" balls.

All participants will get a T-shirt.

We on occasion, get displaced from the gym by our host schools.  If that occurs, or for some other unforseen reason we have to cancel, I will post a notice on this site, and email those I have contact information for.

Online Registration is through Active.com, and can be accessed through the links tab in sidebar menu. Registration will be available starting May 1 and will close June 5.

 A reminder to all the boys and their parents. We are guests of the schools and other facilities that we use. Please respect the facilities, especially the gyms with school materials posted on the wall.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY!!! If any phase of the snow emergency plan is in effect, all games and practices are cancelled. If Baltimore County Schools are closed all games and practices for that day are cancelled.
