Awards Banquet February 5, 2010 - 05:00 PMThe 9th Annual Tyler Lions Youth Sports banquet will take place on Saturday, February 6, 2010 5pm at the North Tennaha Church of Christ. The address is 1701 N. Teneha. Team members from the 2009 season will receive trohies and recognition from the 2009 Season. Team members are admitted free. Ages 12 to adult $10, 3 to 11 $7.00, 2 and under free. Discount of $1 for each canned good that you bring in maximum of $2 discount. We are combining this with a canned good drive. Door prizes, good time, banquet will be catered. Dress is semi-formal. We will also have discounted early registration for the 2010 season during the banquet. you must signup and pay at that time.

The Tyler Lions have recently accepted membership into the Tri-County Youth Football League. The ages and weights are listed below. There are no weight limits, so all kids will be able to play and no kids will be turned away and left out. There is a ball carrier weight limit for the safety of team members.
The Tyler Lions Youth Sports Association was formed on March 8, 2001. We offer youth football and cheerleading for kids in the 5 to 13 age range. We also offer dance for kids in the 8 to 15 age range. We currently have 190 kids in our programs. We are based in Tyler, TX. We stress academics, sportsmanship, & teamwork for our participants.
Football Information Tyler Lions Youth Sports offers a flag football program for kids in the 5 to 6 age range and full contact tackle football for kids in the 7 to 12 age range. We teach the fundamentals of the game and stress teamwork. Kids compete with kids of similar age that reduces the risk & reality of injuries.

**Age as of May 31st is considered the team member's age for the entire season. We don't have weight limits for playing, but we do have ball carrier weight limits for the safety of the kids. 7th Graders are not allowed in the Junior Division.
Division winners and runner-ups advance to the area playoffs.
Cheerleading Teams The Tyler Lions cheerleading teams support each of our football teams during games. They also compete in the end of season league cheer & dance competition with the possibility of advancing to the National Championship.
Dance Teams The Tyler Lions Offer Dance Teams in the following divisions: Freshmen (Ages 7 & 8), Sophomore (Ages 9 & 10), Junior (Ages 11 & 12), and Senior Ages (13 to 15). The dance teams perform at halftime during football games and compete in the end of season local cheerleading and dance competition. They can advance to the National Cheerleading and Dance Championships.
