Farewell from Coaches Tyal & LaBritta
As the 2009 season comes to an end this week, We are left with many feelings! We are honored to have coached such a wonderful group of young ladies. Over the seasons, We have come to know many of the players and their families very well and consider them to be a part of our family. Every one of these young ladies that played softball this season and seasons past has proved that they have what it takes to make a GOOD player. They have learned, and continue to learn, the basic skills of the game. Any coach can teach you to be a good player. But.... those who truly love the game become great. A GREAT player is one that learns the meaning of teamwork and knows that it takes more than just one or two players to win a ball game, that never gets down on their teammates, one that brings positive attitude and encouragement even when mistakes are made. A great player plays with their whole heart and never gives up or quits. A great player will work harder to correct her weakness instead of getting down on herself. A great player has positive support from their families without negativity. Greatness can only come from within yourself. We know that someday, we will watch some of you play in the College World Series, then we will know that you truely have became a GREAT player.
As we finish out our final season as coaches in Colorado before moving on, We thank you for allowing us to coach you in the sport that we consider to be the very best. We are proud of all that you have accomplished this season. We will miss all of you. We will always remember the good times that we have had. Good luck in the future!
