Meet the VISTA X-plosion!
"Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do." --Pele
Welcome to the website of VISTA X-plosion! We are a rising U-13 team that competes in Division 1 ODSL. Our goals are to have fun, train hard and have a great time together! The X-plosion are coached by Megan Kipp who holds a USSF/VYSA State D License. Coach Megan has 8 years experience coaching girls, and is a member of the Positive Coaching Alliance since 2007. Coach Megan is also the recipient of the 2008 Champion of Character Sportsmanship Coaching Award through Fairfax County.
The team is professionally trained once a week by Fabien Lewis (Brazilian Touch.) Fabien currently plays with the Real Maryland FC (USL Division 2.) He played for Trinidad & Tobago's U-17 and U-23 National Team as well as being a defensive standout for George Mason University. The X-plosion is thrilled to have him returning this fall!

Game Highlights
November 15, 2009
11/15: X-plosion beats Loudoun silver 4-2 and ends undefeated in their first season Division 1!!!
The girls played a brilliant game today. Katie began the scoring making a run down the right shooting from the 18, hitting her shot far post! Loudoun counted when an X-plosion defender went down due to the muddy field and the girls stopped for a split second, allowing a breakaway. K.C struck next with the goal of the game; Isabella, Jess, Lucia and Ash worked the ball up the field with some great movement and Isabella took a shot, K.C timed a perfect header directing the ball into the net! The half ended 2-1. The girls continued the great movement with Jess notching two goals maneuvering down the field. Loudoun managed one more goal as another X-plosion defender slipped in the mud, and tried to recover. There was great give and go combination play from K.C, Natalia, Isabella, Katie, Ri and Ash. Isabella had several breakaways that barley missed, where Ash and Jess caused havoc for the Loudoun defense. Claire, Rach, Emma, Vanessa, Colleen and Natalie consistently shut down the Loudoun attack, and Emma took a great shot after bringing numbers up. With this win, the girls ended in 3rd place only 2 points behind FCSC who clinched first. X-plosion also scored the most goals in their division this season, with 10 girls notching goals! GREAT JOB GIRLS!!!
