An additional tryout has been added for this Saturday at 6pm at Western Regional Park field #9.

33 players ages 6, 7, and 8 years old participated in the 8U Select Team Tryouts at Western Regional Park on Thursday evening. The players showed off their pitching, hitting, fielding, and running to the travel and rec coaches that were present. Team(s) will be announced after Memorial Day. Crab raffle tickets for the All-Star Saturday drawing can be turned into the concession stand at Western Regional Park. Please write the coaches name and division on the back of each stub. Pick up a team baseball hat or pink cap and show your WHC pride. Window stickers for the car are also available for both the rec baseball and softball programs. Each item is $10 and can be purchased from the table in the baseball circle at Western Regional Park field #2 or the concession stand.

The 4-6 division opened the newest field at Western Regional Park on Saturday morning. Field #6 is in the back of the park (make a left at the stop sign before field #9).

The league has compiled the results of over 150 participants of the first annual Pitch, Hit & Run contest. Winners have been notified via email. Regionals take place in North Laurel on Fri May 31. Thanks to all who participated. Contact Jeff Banner for more information.

Howard County Rec & Parks has opened the batting cages at Western Regional Park and Schooley Mill Park. They have also erected a backstop on field #6 and have informed the league that an electronic scoreboard will be installed on Western Regional Park field #1 in the summer.
