Welcome to the Wolves Den
The Oswego Wolves Softball Association welcomes you to the WOLVES DEN! The mission of the O.W.S.A program is to promote fastpitch softball in Oswego Illinois by modeling character, rewarding commitment, serving community, and building confidence in our girls.
The 2011-12 season features a year round softball program for one 9U, one 10U, one 11U, one 12U, one 13U, one 14U, one 15U, one 16U, and one 18U. The winter clinic season will include our "WOLVES in TRAINING" Programs.
Wolves Elite 14u Coaches attend Clinic
The Coaches from the 14u Elite team, attended the Advanced Skills National Sports Clinic in Rosemont on December 7th & 8th.
Presenters were as follows: Kate Drohan, Northwestern University; Bill Edwards, Hofstra University; Kelly Inouye-Perez, UCLA; Mike White, University of Oregon
Topics included: Middle Infield, Defensive Tactics, Pitching Mechanics & Communication, Outfield Play, Catching Techniques, Baserunning, Pre-Game Preperation, Nutrition, and Recruiting
Wolves Elite 14u Finish 4th in Joliet
The 14u Wolves finished 4th in the Hawks Halloween Havoc Tournament in Joliet. The girls braved the cold weather and hung in there against some very good competition. The team now moves indoors for winter training at ESP in Oswego.
Wolves Elite 14u Finish 5th in Marengo
The Oswego Wolves Elite 14u Finish 5th in Marengo this past weekend. This was the team's first tournament of the new season. The team played inspired softball over the 2 day tournament (5 games - 3 on Saturday, 2 on Sunday).
The girls now begin a busy month (October) where they play 8 friendly games and a Halloween Tournament)!!!

Congratulations Wolves 18U on Qualifying for the NSA World Series!
Wolves Qualify 3 teams for 2012 World Series:
18u - Coached by Mike Michalek - Pony World Series in North Carolina - 18th Place
14u - Coached by Rick Johnson - NSA World Series in Northwest Indiana - 17th Place Finish
12u - Coached by Chris Van Degraft - NSA World Series in Northwest Indiana - 33rd Place Finish

Wolves Coaches Attend Cindy Bristow Clinic
The Wolves Coaches attended the Cindy Bristow 2 day Clinic on March 17th & 18th. The event was sponsored by the Southwest Suburban Girls Softball Association of Greater Chicago. The agenda included: Teaching the running slap, How to successfully deal with parents, Tips for motivating your players, Keys for holding great practices, Team and individual drills, The skills & drills for playing each position, and base running.
The Wolves Organization takes coaching education seriously and provides many opportunities for the Coaching Staffs to improve their knowledge of the game of softball.
