WELCOME TO THE
WEST SENECA YOUTH HOCKEY ASSOCIATION
|
2nd ANNUAL CANNED FOOD DRIVE
Once again we are starting our canned food drive to benefit the West Seneca Food Pantry. Like last year’s food drive, we would like each team to donate a minimum of ONE non-perishable item per player and coach on your team. There are over 30 teams and 750-800 players in the hockey association so this is a great opportunity to show the community this Association is all about. We would like to surpass last year’s total of over 4,000 donated items.
Each team is required to designate one person (player, coach, or parent) to collect all of the items from their team to have them drop off their items during the designated drop-off times. (They are listed below.)
First drop-off time: Tuesday, November 17 at 7pm – Coach’s Room at the Ice Rink
Final drop-off time: TBA (Kiwanis Center)
At each drop-off time, all of the donated items will be counted, and the number of items will be posted to that particular team’s name. The team with the most donated items will receive a prize (to be determined). A running total will be posted at the rink so each team can check their progress.
We are trying to establish a more positive image for the Hockey Association in the community and at the same time help out the less fortunate. Please notify your team and their parents at your next game and/or practice.
If you have any questions or need further information, please contact Greg Newman (432-0334) or Michelle Shanley (674-1323).
