Colts 11U Black finished 2nd at the Battle of the Bats Fall Slugfest
Colts 11U Black finished 2nd at the Battle of the Bats Fall Slugfest at Craig Ranch this past weekend. The boys started bracket play Sunday as a 4 seed which paired them up with the 1 seed. They knocked off the HVA Storm (the 1 seed) by a score of 8-7 which put them in the Championship game against the Cajun Cayenne. The boys fought hard and held the lead until a bases loaded single knocked in the winning runs in the bottom of the 6th for the Cajun’s. They played very hard and never gave up, Great Job Boys!
14U Colts Finish 1st in Greenville Super Series
The 14U Colts finished 1st in the Greenville Super Series tournament this past weekend. They went 2-0 on Saturday and finished as the number one seed going into bracket play. They continued their dominance on Sunday by only giving up 1 run and capping of the championship with a 2-0 victory. Great job.
Colts Blue 11U finishes 2nd at Big League Dreams
Colts Blue 11U finished 2nd at Big League Dreams by going 4-1 this past weekend. They started out Saturday by beating the Granbury Purple Pirates 16-3 and handling the Mesquite Comets 15-0, which placed them as the number 1 seed going into Sunday. Started out Sunday doubling up the Airhogs Red 14-7, then holding off the Mesquite Comets 6-2 in the Semi Final game. The boys fell a little short against Canes Baseball in the Championship game by a score of 7-3, they just couldn’t figure out how to hit a very good curve ball. All in all another very good weekend for the boys.
Colts Blue 11U Wins Fall Nationals, Super NIT
The Colts Blue 11U team won the 2011 Fall Nationals, Super N.I.T. by going 5 and 0 this past weekend. A very dominating weekend by scoring 71 runs and giving up only 18. We started out Saturday by defeating the Cajun Cayenne Baseball 18-5 then beating the Heroes baseball 11-1 which was good enough to be a 2 seed for Sunday. Sunday started out just as good as Saturday with a win over the Heroes again by a score of 13-5, then defeating the Desperados 12-2 in the Semi finals. We ended up meeting the Cajun Cayenne baseball team in the championship game which we won 17-5. A very good weekend for the boys in which they came away with Gold Rings rather than trophies, they were all very excited.
12U Colts Finish 2nd at Tara Sawyer
The boys went 1-1 on Saturday by defeating the Dallas Patriots FTW 7-4 then losing to Whichita Falls Indians 4-11 which placed us as a 12 seed out of 19 teams. Sunday we started the day by beating the North Texas Patriots 12-6 then beating the Mansfield Mavericks 14-4. The next game was a little tougher with a play at the plate to end the game to beat the Texas Outlaws 9-8, but ran out of gas in the Championship game to lose to the Mansfield Drillers 13-3. Congratulations to Colten Davis for receiving the Barnabus Award for character and leadership. Colten was selected by his teammates for his outstanding attitude and team leadership. Congratulations Colts!
14U Colts Finish 2nd at Tara Sawyer
The boys fought hard both days. With an excellent job from the pitching staff and clutch hits, the Dallas Colts 14U was able to place 2nd at the Tara Sawyer Baseball Tournament. Congratulations to Aaron Griffin for receiving the Barnabus Award for character and leadership. Aaron was selected by his team for his outstanding attitude and his hard work. Congratulations Colts and get ready for the next one!
