Umpires are expected to treat coaches & players with respect during games
League will NOT TOLERATE Umpires being Cursed at/threatened or verbally Disrespected during or after games.
Only Coaches should speak to umpire about any call made. Unless you Know the actual Rule you are arguing about please do not attack umpire for a call that was made..Any
team (coach/player) Who threatens or Verbally Disrespects !Umpire will be suspended....<---(Team/Players)
If You have any situation(altercation) with Umpire or other team call Hector or Jim to report what happened. Anyone feels that they can or would like to Umpire please let us know. Umpire Classes will be next year. We've lost a lot of Umpires this year due to senseless arguing

Reading Fields Policy
All Reading Fields require teams to clean up after the games or we will no longer have use of the fields. The following steps must be taken.
1) Arrive at field – take pictures of player benches, spectator seating area and trash collection areas in the park.
2) Email fields@readingpa.gov prior to playing games.
3) Play softball games
4) Clean up after the game – remove all trash into trash collection areas or take trash with you in bags.
5) Repeat step 1 and 2 (take pictures of player benches, spectator seating area and trash collection areas in the park.)
6) Email fields@readingpa.gov after playing games.
7) There are NO Weapons of any kind (Guns/Knives) Allowed in dugout or on any field. Leave any weapons you may have in your vehicle. NO need for any weapons at field during a softball game(Suppose to be fun & Enjoyable game of competition) or at any sanctioned ASA/USA event.. Will NOT Be Tolerated by the League. Weapon Offenders will be Suspended from League

Muhlenberg League Rules & Info *(HOME TEAM)The team on the right is responsible for the following: (1) Calling other team and Jim Meals in case of rain -1 hour prior to game (2)Supplying the bases (3)Home team supplies bases(1st base Double bag) and plate Mat.. *Each HOME TEAM(1) Must Supply 1 new ball and 1 back up ball (2) Responsible for chasing fall balls/Homeruns and supplying additional balls if needed (3) Official scorer for that game *Rosters (1) 25 man roster turned in by APRIL 21ST (2) Last date of addition or deletion of players is JUNE 15TH (3) If a Player quits and wants to sign with another team has to wait One week or 2 games AFTER THE NOTIFICATION OF ROSTER CHANGE TO LEAGUE ROSTER CHAIRMAN. (4)Manager cuts player and he wants to sign with another team has to wait one week (5) New players can play the following Sunday after notification to the League Roster Chairman *Rules (1)Teams can play with 9 players,no out will be charged If only playing with 9.Team has to tell ump & other team if 10th player is coming late before game starts then 10th player spot will be AN OUT!!! til he arrives. (2) 12 run rule after 5 Innings (3) League follows illegal bat rule listed on USA website (4) Balls are .52 core // Dudley softballs USA/ASA only (5) Homerun rule at fenced field is each team can have 4 homeruns per game. All others will be outs after.. (6) Umpires for each week $36 per team (Each team pays half fee per game 2 x $18.00 = $36 each per team for umpires)
