Welcome to the home of the BSC Llamas! (aka "The Red Hot Llamas")
As you can tell by our mascot, we try not to take ourselves too seriously. But don't let our fun side fool you. Out on the soccer field, we play to win. If you are looking for a great soccer experience, consider joining the BSC Llamas.
Our Team Philosophy
The Llamas focus on two primary goals: 1. Having Fun, and 2. Player Development.
Having Fun: It's no accident that we listed "Having fun" first. Soccer is a game to be enjoyed. We firmly believe that when players are having fun, they are more relaxed and play better. Our training sessions are designed so that the players have fun while learning. We don't do grueling runs and avoid boring drills where most of the players are standing in line waiting for a turn with the ball. You also won't find high pressure coaches who yell at our players--that's not fun for anyone.
Developing Players: Player development should always be a top goal of youth soccer. The experienced coaches of the BSC Llamas focus on providing top notch training. We train our players by breaking down fundamental skills and teaching those skills in ways that maximize touches on the ball. We also use mini-games that simulated game-like conditions to teach skills and tactics. We focus on all aspects of developing well-rounded players, with footwork being a foundational skill.
When you are having fun and receiving great training, success inevitably follows. We don't ever emphasize winning over our two primary goals, but we nonetheless enjoy winning and see it a measure of our progress and success.
