The Rotary's 2021 Banana Split Festival, has been cancelled amid the coronavirus crisis.  This also means that the Big Banana Baseball Tournament is also cancelled for 2021. "We are thankful for the volunteers and festival committee members who have already given so much time and effort as they prepared for the festival over the past year", said Susan Valentine Scott, Chairman of the 2021 Banana Split Festival. Our decision was made from an abundance of caution for the safety of our volunteers, guests, and vendors, as well as practicality.

Contracts for entertainment are confirmed well in advance along with marketing campaigns. Those are some of the festivals largest fixed costs and with the continued uncertainty of how the social gathering restrictions will be lifted, the most responsible course of action was to cancel.

The festival committee remains optimistic. While the festival is cancelled, we hope to create a fun, ice cream social event where we can all celebrate together with our famous banana splits later this summer in collaboration with other scheduled events around the city of Wilmington.

Welcome to the home of the Big Banana Baseball Tournament held at the Banana Split Festival in Wilmington Ohio. This is the eleventh year of the Big Banana Baseball Tournament but it is the 26th year for the Banana Split Festival. The baseball tournament and the festival will both occur on Friday the 12th and Saturday the 13th of June 2020. Unlike other baseball tournaments, the possibilities of entertainment are practically endless for your team and their families. If you love a good old fashioned festival, set to the tune of the fabulous 50s and 60s then you've come to the right place.
