• Opening Day Parade, Ceremony, Party (new!) & Showcase Game (new!)
  • Date: Saturday, 4/13/24
  • About: Join the entire Kensico Little League community as we march through Valhalla to Pat Henry Field for our Opening Ceremonies. This year we are adding an Opening Day Party (food trucks, games, swag sales and free raffles for baseball related items). As well as the new "Showcase Game" (between two Majors Division baseball teams) to start shortly after Opening Ceremonies. Continuing shuttle service will be provided to/from the MNR lot during the party and Showcase Game. So stick around to eat, play and watch the older kids PLAY BALL!
  • Times:
    • 12:15 pm - Begin parking at Valhalla Metro-North station
      
    • 12:45 pm - Lineups at HNJ Church... Please be sure to arrive early enough to park at the MNR train station and then walk over to HNJ Church for lineups by 12:45. 
    • 1:15 pm sharp - Parade kickoff
    • 1:45 to 2:15 pm - Opening Day Ceremony
    • 2:15 pm - (New) Opending Day Party begins / Majors teams warmup for Showcase Game
    • 2:45 pm - (New) Showcase Game between Team Kelly (White Plains PBA) vs. Team Fanning (Valhalla Independant Fire Co.)

• MAKE-UP Managers & Coaches Safety Training
  • Date: Tuesday 4/2/2024
    
  • Time: 8:00 pm
    
  • Location: ZOOM (Request link from team Manager or email KLLplayerReg@gmail.com with any issues)
    
  • Note: All Volunteer Managers/Coaches must 1) Complete a background check, 2) Attend the Saftey Class and 3) Complete the Abuse Prevention training before they can participate with any on field activities

• Parent Information Night
  • Date: Tuesday, 3/19/24
  • Time: 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
  • Location: VHS cafeteria
  • Note: This meeting is especially important for parents of first-time players

• Mandatory Managers & Coaches Safety Training
  • Date: Tuesday, 3/19/24
  • Time: 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm (after Parents meeting concludes)
  • Location: VHS cafeteria 
  • Note: All Volunteer Managers/Coaches must attend before they can participate with any on field activities (It is crucial that you make this session as there will be very limited make up dates available thereafter).
    

• FREE Winter Clinics (For registered players only)
  • Softball
    • Dates: Wednesdays 1/31/24, 2/7/24, 2/14/24, 2/28/24, 3/6/24 & 3/13/24
    • Time (AA & AAA): 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
    • Time (Majors): 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm
    • Location: VHS (Upper Gym)
  • Baseball
    • Dates: Thursdays 2/1/24, 2/8/24, 2/15/24, 2/29/24, 3/7/24 & 3/14/24
    • Time (AAA): 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
    • Time (Majors): 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm
    • Location: VHS (Lower Gym)

• Softball Pitching Clinics - at Valhalla High School.
  • Cost is $150/child.
  • Dates: Tuesdays 1/30/24, 2/6/24, 2/13/24, 2/27/24 & 3/5/24
    
  • Time: 7-8 pm
  • Location: VHS (Lower Gym)

• Baseball and Softball Evaluations - Saturday, 3/2/24
  • Baseball AAA: 3/2/24, Morning, VHS - LOWER GYM... Specific player time slots have been emailed
  • Baseball Majors: 3/2/24, Afternoon, VHS - LOWER GYM... Specific player time slots have been emailed
  • Softball AAA:  3/2/24, Afternoon, VHS - UPPER GYM... Specific player time slots have been emailed
  • Note:
    • KLL player evaluations are not "tryouts" in any respect. They are simply there so we can assess current talent levels in an attempt to balance the teams in each respective division.
    • There are NO evaluations for Softball: Majors this year, unless otherwise directed.

Please make sure you drive slowly down Kensico Avenue (the road leading to Pat Henry Field) and in the parking lot.  The 30 seconds you save on the way in is not worth the risk you are putting our children in by speeding.  10 mph is more than fast enough. Please remind family and friends that this is an area that requires slow driving.

Kensico Little League Code of Conduct

I hereby pledge to provide support, care, and encouragement for my child participating in Kensico Little League by following this parents’ code of ethics:

I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and officials at every game, practice, or other Kensico Little League event.

I will place the emotional and physical wellbeing of my child ahead of a personal desire to win.

I will insist that my child plays in a safe and healthy environment.

I will require that my child’s coach be trained in the responsibilities of being a youth sports coach and that the coach upholds the Coaches Code of Ethics.

I will support coaches and officials working with my child, in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all.

I will demand a sports environment for my child that is free from drugs, tobacco, and alcohol, and will refrain from their use at all Kensico Little League events.

I will remember that the game is for youth – not for adults.

I will do my best to make Kensico Little League fun for my child. I will help my child enjoy the youth sports experience by doing whatever I can, such as being a respectful fan, assisting coaching, or providing transportation.

I will ask my child to treat players, coaches, fans, and officials with respect regardless of race, sex, creed, or ability.
