Our mission is to enrich the lives of the residents of Hillsborough by providing safe, welcoming parks and recreation facilities and affordable, diverse recreation and social activities for people of all ages and abilities to play, learn, contemplate, build community, and be good stewards of our environment.

 The Hillsborough Department of Parks and Recreation maintains the parks of Hillsborough and Flagtown   and provides recreation programs for youth, adults, and seniors.

 Youth programs include the instruction of fundamentals and skills of a variety of sports including soccer,   basketball, softball, among others.  Our youth programs begin for children as young as four years old.  Sports leagues organized by the Department include fall and spring soccer, winter and summer   basketball, and softball.

 Adult programs include informal leagues for basketball and volleyball.

All parks are open to the public from dawn to dusk, as per Hillsborough Township Ordinances, unless a Department program is offered at the park.  Parks and athletic fields maintained by the Department are listed under the Parks Directory link.
