To help younger players get involved in ice hockey, the Paramus Junior Ice Hockey program will be offering clinics this month. The next one is scheduled for Sunday June 23rd at the Fritz Dietl rink (in Westwood). For more information, please visit: http://www.freeteams.net/paramusjrhockey

Remembering James DeMuro

On August 10, 2011, the Lyndhurst Youth Hockey League lost a good friend of the program. James DeMuro was a dedicated coach of recreation and travel teams from 1997-2006. An avid fan of hockey and giving of his free time, Jimmy coached all of his boys in the program as well as many other young players over the years. Our condolences to his children and family, he will certainly be missed.

You can view his obituary and leave a kind message here:

Remembering Our Friend Felicia

Felicia was never the type to want or seek acclaim for all the great work she did with the league. If you have ever had breakfast at the rink on a Saturday morning, or just picked up a cold drink from the concession stand, then you know how big a role she played in making sure each an every season ran smoothly. Also, her and her brother’s restaurant, Vitale’s, always purchased a board sign and sponsored a team.

Felicia was a key part of our program’s growth over the past few years, because without her help – and the help of everyone who volunteered their time in the concession stand – we wouldn’t have had the funds needed for referees, equipment, or the awards dinner each and every season.

Felicia’s dedication and contributions to our program will never be forgotten. On behalf of all the players and friends of the Lyndhurst Youth Hockey League, we want to say ‘thank you’ one last time.

We miss you…

~Lyndhurst Youth Hockey League Executive Board & Coaches

In lieu of flowers, the Roveda Family has asked that donations be made in Felicia's name to the American Cancer Society.
