This is the home of the York University Women's Fastball team.  We are a team of enthusiastic players who enjoy the game and wish to continue playing after the summer is over.  We are one of 13 teams in the Ontario Intercollegiate Women's Fastpitch Association (OIWFA: http://www.oiwfa.org/wb/index.php), which is an organization that allows teams to play out a 16-game 4-week schedule in the fall.  Games are normally played as double-headers on weekends.

York Women's Fastball continues to mourn the passing of Pitching Coach Frank Hendy.  Frank passed away on August 24, 2016.  He is missed and was a large contributor to the York Women's Fastball Club.

Below are some pictures of some on-camera interviews with Rick Mercer on Saturday October 20 in London during the 2012 OIWFA playoffs.  Rick was on hand at the behest of the OIWFA executive.  During his interviews with OIWFA teams, he learned about certain aspects of the sport of fastpitch softball, the plight of club sports teams in their fight to get more recognition and support, and even some technical pointers on how to play the game!  The York University fastpitch club certainly appreciates his taking the time to talk to our athletes!
