    All registration are taken at the recreation department located at 37 East Woodrow Ave, Belmont, NC 28012. Normal office hours are Monday - Thursday 8am to 8pm, Friday 8am to 5pm, and Saturday 9am - 12pm.

    YOUTH MACHINE PITCH INFORMATION SHEET 2010

    AGE GROUPS AND DIVISIONS
    AGE GROUPS:
    Machine Pitch cannot turn 9 before May 1, 2010
    9-10 Minors cannot turn 11 before May 1, 2010
    11-12 Majors cannot turn 13 before May 1, 2010
    13-14 yr olds cannot turn 15 before May 1, 2010

    COACHES NEEDED
    The Recreation Dept will need a volunteer coach for each team formed. Head coaches will get a discount on the registration fee if they signup to coach at the time they register their child.

    DRAFT/MEETING
    A. Draft/meeting date is as follows:
    Machine Pitch: Coaches meeting will be held on TBA at the recreation dept. The draft will be held on TBA at Davis Park. Returning players from the 2009 season can choose to remain on their same team or enter the draft. Please note on your registration form that you wish to remain on your 2009 team.
    B. All new players, players moving up from t-ball, and any others that choose to enter the draft must come to the draft. Bring your glove, cleats, etc just like it was a practice.

    PRACTICES/GAMES
    A. Machine Pitch practices will begin the week of TBA.
    B. Machine Pitch games shall begin TBA and the season shall end approx. end of May or first of June.
    C. Games will general be on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday but other days may be used if needed. Makeup games will be made up as soon as possible and could possibly be any day of the week.
    D. The league may consist of teams from Belmont, Ranlo, Cramerton, Gastonia, and McAdenville.

    FEES
    A. The registration fee is $35 in-city and $60 out-of-city per player for coach pitch and it covers the players’ shirt, hat, pants, trophy, and an end of season party. This fee does not include socks or glove.
    B. No refund will be given after the registration date has expired. If a player drops after this point the uniform, trophy, and end of season will be forfeited.

    FUNDRAISERS
    A. Picture Button Sales: These can be purchased from the recreation department approximately a week after pictures have been taken. The cost of the button will be 2 for $5. We will only have buttons for players that take individual pictures on picture day.

    SPONSORSHIP
    A. Anyone or business interested in sponsoring a team please contact the Belmont Parks & Recreation Dept.
    B. Sponsors will get their name on the back of the jersey, a link or recognition on the website, and a sponsor plaque to display in their home or business.
    C. Money raised through fundraisers and sponsorships will be used to offset expenses of the program.

    Please help us keep the parks clean by picking up trash after the practices and games.

    AGE GROUPS:
    Little Tot Tball cannot turn 5 before May 1st, 2009 and must be 3 by May 1, 2010
    T Ball cannot turn 7 before May 1st, 2010
    COACHES NEEDED
    The Recreation Dept will need a volunteer coach for each team formed. Head coaches will get a discount on the registration fee if they signup to coach at the time they register their child. The number of teams will be limited to the number of volunteer coaches we have.
    DRAFT/MEETING
    A. Draft/meeting date is as follows:
    Little Tot and T Ball: Head coaches meeting only will be held on TBD. Little Tot a TBD and T Ball at TBD at the rec. dept.
    Players and parents meeting will be as follows:
    3-4 Little Tots: TBD at Davis Park Field
    5-6 T Ball: TBD at 7pm at Davis Park Field
    Players will meet their teammates and coaches at this meeting and some information will be given out.
    Teams will be posted on the website at www.belmontparksandrec.com then click on the baseball link.

    A. Little Tot T-ball, and T-ball practice will begin TBD.
    B. Little Tot T-Ball and T-Ball games shall begin TBD with a preseason kickoff and the season shall end approx. TBD. Players will receive their uniforms at the preseason kickoff.
    C. Games will general be on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday but other days may be used if needed. Makeup games will be made up as soon as possible and could possibly be any day of the week.
    D. Game schedules will be handed out Saturday June 6 or at the first practice after that.

    A. The registration fee $35 in-city and $60 out-of-city per player for t-ball and it covers the players’ shirt, hat, trophy, and an end of season party. The fee does not include pants, socks, or glove.
    B. No refund will be given after the registration date has expired. If a player drops after this point the uniform, trophy, and end of season party will be forfeited.

    B. T-shirt sales: Each team will have an order form to order team t-shirts for parents or sibling (the players uniform is included with the registration fee). This will be a t-shirt in the same color as your child’s team with the same logo. The cost of the t-shirts will be $10 for S-XL, $11 for XXL, and $12 for XXXL. Youth sizes are also available for $10. Orders will be taken May 29 and 30. Shirts must be paid for when ordered.
