Carver Babe Ruth age 13-15 2010
Carver Babe Ruth Parent Letter 11/2009
Carver Babe Ruth FAQ's

In response to questions brought up through the letter sent to all Carver parents on November 23 we have developed a section to easily answer common questions. If your question is not answered here, please click on the spinning mailbox to the left.

When will signups be ?
Signups will coincide with the existing Cal Ripken signups. We have 3 signups during the Winter the first coming up quickly in January.

What is the cost for Carver Babe Ruth ?
Babe Ruth will be put on the same reasonable pricing schedule that TBall and Cal Ripken are on. The first Babe Ruth signup in January will cost $75 per player plus the $20 Family Volunteer Bond. There will be no forms of fund raising at this level as there are none at the other levels. Any certified Managers or Coaches will receive their $20 Bond back by Opening Night 2010.

'Where' are we playing and 'who' are we playing ?
Our Home games will not change and will be played at the Carver High School. Our away games will vary year to year but always be with our close surrounding Towns. We will be playing Halifax, Kingston, Plymouth, Bourne, and possibly Middleboro and Wareham.

Why are we changing ?
Our ability to keep continuity with our Baseball 13's-15's has been a struggle. This is by far our best option as we will be keeping these children in the same league from the age of 4 to 15 now. Same coaches, same volunteers, same registration process, makes it easier on parents and on keeping a bigger group of baseball players together for a longer duration. With the loss of our Middle School program this year we have consulted with members of the school already for approval and have received nothing but support.

Opening Day ?
Opening Day will become even more of a celebration with more kids involved. Our older Babe Ruth kids will be able to help on Opening Night and guide our younger TBall and Machine Pitch players. To see a span of 4 year olds to 15 year olds all together for what has already become a great tradition for our community, will encourage more young players to keep playing Baseball and build our local program.
