AFTER SCHOOL CHILD CARE 2017-18 NEWSLETTER AVAILABLE BY CLICKING ON HANDOUTS


The Troy Youth Association, Inc (CYO) is a non-profit charitable organization 509(a)(1) & 170(b)(1)(A)(vi), serving the community of Troy and also with programs throughout the Capital District. We are also listed as a Charitable Organization with the State of New York ID# 61891.
We are always accepting charitable donations which are tax exempt. All contributions can be sent to the agency address, PO box 867, 237 4th Street, Troy, NY 12181

Troy Youth Association, Inc, incorporated May 3, 1977. Formally known as the Troy Catholic Youth Organization which was established in 1952 and housed at the current equipment house overlooking Catholic Central HS Football Field. The agency was moved to its current location in 1968 (Old LaSalle Institute Gym) at 237 Fourth Street.
Mission Statement

The Mission Statement of the organization is to foster and develop the cultural, moral and physical well-being of youth and adults; to nurture and aid sound programs in developing character.

AGENCY PROGRAM SUMMARY
1. After School Child Care
  (CHECK HANDOUTS FOR NEWSLETTER INFO)
a. Serving 35-40 children daily
b. Affordable fees for low-income families ($40wk), $75 for (2) children
c. Been in existence since 1984
d. Programs include: Tutorial Aid, gym, game room, crafts, special tiny tot area and computer lab
2. Summer Day Camp (see handouts for info and registration)
a. Seven week/possible eight program depending on interest (last week basketball fundamental program)
b. Serving 55-60 children daily
c. Red Cross Certified Learn to Swim Program may be available
d. Traveling Camp
e. Been in existence since 1965


3. Teenage Program
a. Basketball Leagues, includes practices, etc
b. Serving 35-40 youth nightly
c. Been in existence since 1965
d. Programs include; Organized basketball,Drug awareness programs
4. Challenger Program and Area Wide Basketball Leagues
a. Challenger program has 45 participants playing once a week at the Center. The challenger program involves youth with disabilities organized and supervised by adult volunteers.
b. The Center and area wide basketball program involves 8 teams from the Agency and 28 leagues from the Capital District all organized by the agency.
c. The leagues total some 2100 youth and adults during the program period.

After School Child Care program info:
$45 weekly fee (10) one child, $80week for (2)

Middle School students weekly fee $25 3:30- 5:15


Activities include: Homework Aid, Gym program, Game Room, Crafts and more.
Pick up time 5:00-15PM

After School Child Care Program (Licensed)

The Troy Youth Association (CYO) After School Child Care program is a registered program by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (Registration ID# 00529776SACC. Effective dates: 5/16/17-5/15/21.


Area Wide Basketball Leagues starts Dec 2-3. Team registration due by 11/6

$100 per team

All coaches, moderators must have background checks for team registrations

Organizational meeting scheduled for ALL CHURCH/PARISH AD'S 0ct 5, 2017 @ 6:00 PM at the CYO Center MEETING FOR NON PARISH AD'S INCLUDE AGENCIES, PUBLIC SCHOOLS, ETC WILL BE HELD ON OCT 12 6:00 @ CYO  CENTER

IMPORTANT....NO TRAVEL TEAMS AND NO AAU TEAMS PERMITTED IN THE PROGRAM.
