2024 HWAC Swim Team Registration Info 

REGISTRATION DATES

1. Returning swimmers priority registration:  2/11/24 - 3/3/24 
2. New HW/RO-Section families: BEGINS Monday 3/4/24 at 8:30a
3. New Berkley School District Non-Resident Swimmers: BEGINS Monday 3/18/24 at 8:30a

Cost

• Huntington Woods residents: $304 = $274 registration fee + $30 team fee 
• Non-resident/Berkley School District: $381 = $274 registration fee + 10% surcharge + $50 facility fee + $30 team fee 
• Each additional non-resident swimmer: $331=  $274 + 10% surcharge + $30 team fee 

Other Notes

• Returning swimmers registering after March 3, 2024 will be slated as new swimmers, as space is available.
• New swimmers: Registration is first come, first served
• Register online or at the Huntington Woods Gillham Recreation Center:
  • You must have a household account established in the Rec Center system in order to register
  • If you have not registered for a Rec Center activity within the past 5 years, please complete and submit the Household Information Form (HHIF) to hwrec@hwmi.org 
  • After verification of your household, your account will be created, and a temporary password will be emailed to you for online registration.
  • The completed HHIF can also be brought to the Rec Center for in-person registration.
  • For best results, please have your household account set up prior to registration opening day.

LIMITED OPENINGS: Registration closes when the team reaches capacity, at which point waitlists will be maintained by age group. Anyone registering after the team has been filled will be placed on a waitlist. Coaches determine if they can accept swimmers off the waitlist in particular age groups. Swimmers are eligible to receive a refund if requested by May 23, less a $10 administrative fee.

• Sat. 6/22 -- 8 & under @ Woodside Athletic Club (WAC)
• Sat. 6/29 -- 11 & up Relay Mini Meet @ Beverly Hills Athletic Club (BHAC)

  • 6:40-7:30 pm 12-14 year olds;
  • 7:30pm-8:30 pm 15-18 year olds
• Tues/Thurs
  • 6:40pm-7:15 pm 8 & unders and NEW 9-10
  • 7:15pm-8:00 pm 9-11 year olds

Monday, June 17 - Friday, July 26 (practices are Monday - Friday)

• 7:00-8:50am   13-18 y.o. **
• 8:50-9:40am   11-12 y.o.
• 9:40-10:30am   9-10 y.o. + returning 8 y.o.
• 10:30-11:00am new 8 & unders + returning 7 y.o.

* As long as pool passes county inspection; also no practices 5/24 and 5/27

** 7-7:50 drylands or pool. Switch at 8a

A New Parent Meeting will be held for new registered families at the Huntington Woods Recreation Center on Monday, May 13,  2024 at 7:00 PM  

The HWAC Parent Handbook will be emailed to all  returning families.
