2018 Columbia Hoyas Elite 11u team is Champions of the NTBA Beach Tipoff.  Our first tournament of the year and we went 4-0.  The Hoyas first game was against Ascend Ballers and we won 45-12.  We were led by Gabe Smith & Bryson Taylor with 10pts apiece, Jaydon Bradford added 7pts, and TJ Roberts chipped in with 6pts.  Great Team Effort Hoyas!!!.  2nd game was against Carolina Premier and we won 62-35.  Bryson Taylor lead all scores with 20pts & 7stls, Matthew Hopkins III added 9pts & 6stls, Jackson Lorick chipped in with 8pts & 11rebs, Tyson Ray Jr also scored 8pts.  Gabe Smith had 7pts and Jaydon Bradford had 6pts & 6rebs. Playoff game kicked off against Crossroad Ballers and we won the game by a score of 43-14.  Bryson Taylor led the team in scoring with 13pts, 7stls, 4assts, Matthew Hopkins III chipped in with 12pts & 8stls , and Jack Lorick added 7pts & 5rebs.  Championship Game was against Beach City Ballers and we won going away 40-25.  Jaydon Bradford scored 10pts & 9rebs, Tyson Ray Jr chipped in with 10pts & 4rebs, and Bryson Taylor added 9pts & 5stls.  Congrats Hoya players, coach, and parents!!!

2018 PF Hoops Champions - 17U Columbia Hoyas Elite

Hoyas kicked off the tournament with a win against TN Celtics - 48-33.  We were led by Marlow Gilmore Jr with 15pts, 6rebs, 5blks, Miles Greene added 9pts & 6rebs, and Isaiah Wright, Shaman Alston, and Andrew Robinson chipped in with 7pts apiece.  The 2nd game against TN Magic and we won 57-31.  We were led by Shaman Alston's 20pts, 6rebs, 4asst, Marlow Gilmore Jr chipped in with 12pts & 6rebs, and Jon Hall, Andrew Robinson added 10pts apiece.  Our 3rd game was against Knights and we were clicking on all cylinders in that game.  We were led by Marlow Gilmore Jr with 22pts (5 dunks) & 10rebs, Jon Hall had 22pts, Shaman Alston chipped in with 15pts, 7rebs, 4asst, and Andrew Robinson added 12pts & 4asst.  Playoff Game was against the TN Celtics and we won that game 57-42.  Shaman Alston led the team with 16pts, Marlow Gilmore Jr chipped in with 14pts & 11rebs, and Andrew Robinson added 15pts.  Championship Game had us matched up against Jets and we won 53-41.  Shaman Alston led the Hoyas with 18pts, Marlow Gilmore Jr chipped in with 10pts & 14rebs, and Andrew Robinson added 15pts.  Hoyas played will together and my parents were awesome.  GO HOYAS!!!  We are not a TEAM - We are an ORGANIZATION!!!  WE R HOYASTRONG!!!!!

The 17u Columbia Hoyas Elite kicked off the season in Hoya Fest Tip Off with a 4-1 record.  Our 1st game was against 3 Ball Elite and we won 67-50.  Shaman Alston led the team with 19pts, 5stls, 6rebs, Marlow Gilmore Jr chipped in with 16pts & 10rebs, and Isaiah Wright added 4pts & 10rebs.  2nd game against Jayhawks and won 91-74. Shaman Alston led the team with 20pts & 10rebs, Keonte Gregg & Jon Hall chipped in with 12pts apiece, Marlow Gilmore Jr added 10pts & 11rebs.  Isaiah Wright scored 7pts, 3stls, 10rebs.  Great Team Win!!!!  Playoffs started against our old rivalry the SC Stars and we won 68-55.  Keonte Gregg led the team with 21pts, Shaman Alston chipped in with 15pts, 6rebs, 3blks, Marlow Gilmore Jr added 9pts, 11rebs, 3blks, and Andrew Robinson added 8pts.  Semi Finals was against SC Tigers and beat them 64-46.  Shaman Alston led the team with 19pts & 5rebs, Keonte Gregg chipped in with 16pts, and Isaiah Wright ( 6pts & 7rebs) & Marlow Gilmore Jr ( 6pts & 5rebs).  Championship Game was against UBA Elite and for the 2nd time in row they beat us 84-64.  They wanted it more than we did.  We were led by Keonte Gregg with 26pts, Shaman Alston chipped in with 15pts & 8rebs, Marlow Gilmore Jr added 8pts & 9rebs.  Great overall weekend Hoyas!!!!

The National Championships were held in Orlando, FL from Wednesday, July 19-23, 2017.  Our 16u Columbia Hoyas finished 9th in the country.  This is the highest we have ever placed, since Coach Emmet Eddy 14u group was 25th in the Nation.  We finished up with a 6-1 record and overall 32-8.  The first game out the gates was against Team Loaded (FL) and we won 68-33.  We were led Keonte Gregg with 24pts, 8asst, 6rebs & Marlow Gilmore Jr added 18pts & 8rebs, and Isaiah Wright chipped in with 9pts & 9rebs as well.  Thomas Tyler also had 9ts.  2nd game was against Raptors Elite and we won that game 75-55.  We were led by Keonte Gregg with 30pts, 9asst & 7rebs, Marlow Gilmore Jr added 19pts & 10rebs, and Isaiah Wright chipped in 12pts & 9rebs.  Max Holland also scored 8pts & 2stls to help the cause.  Third game is against Ohio Varsity Shooting Stars for 1st place in the pool.  We came out on top with a 79-54 win.  We were led by Marlow Gilmore Jr with 25pts, 10rebs, 5blks, Keonte Gregg added 21pts & 7assts, Isaiah Wright chipped in with 13pts & 6rebs.  Max Holland scored 12pts to get us over the hump.  Jonathan Hall also chipped in with 8pts & 4rebs.  It is playoff time and we get a first round bye.  We kickoff against SE-MO Elite and they caught us off guard with a 69-56 win.  We were led by Keonte Gregg with 24pts and Marlow Gilmore Jr 16pts, 10rebs, 4blks.  We bounce back against South Florida Elite which were coached by former NBA Star Kenny Anderson with 73-68 win.  We were led by Keonte Gregg with 22pts, 8rebs, 6asst, Jonathan Hall added 19pts, Max Holland Chipped in with 13pts, and Marlow Gilmore Jr with 10pts & 6rebs.  Championship Game was against NC Team Heat and we won 75-56.  Keonte Gregg was the MVP and led us with 36pts, 6rebs, 3asst, and Marlow Gilmore Jr with 14pts & 10rebs.  Isaiah Wright added 7pts & Max Holland with 7pts & 5rebs.  GO Hoyas

2017 SUMMER HAVOC LIVE was a great weekend for Marlow Gilmore Jr.  We kickoff with a win against New World Basketball All Academic 66-51.  Marlow led us with 29pts, 10rebs, 5blks and Keonte Gregg & Jonathan Hall chipped in with 12pts apiece.  The 2nd game was against Upward Stars Upstate Blue and we won 65-51.  Marlow Gilmore Jr dominated the game with 20pts, 14rebs, 3blks.  Max Holland led the hoyas with 21pts, Keonte Gregg had 10pts, 10asst, 4rebs and Jonathan Hall also chipped in with 10pts & 8rebs.  Third pool game was for number 1 seed against Team Vision and they jump out on us by 16pts in the first half.  There were about 15 college coaches in the gym watching and after a timeout was called the light switch came on and Marlow Gilmore Jr took over the game.  He ended up with 25pts, 16rebs, 5blks and we won the game 78-68.  Keonte Gregg added 23pts & 5asst and Jonathan Hall chipped in with 8pts.  The bench came thru with 7pts each from Miles Greene and Kameren Stewart.  We came out of pool play number 1 seed, but had to turnaround and play the playoff game in less than an hour against a really good Mooresville Magic team.  We lost 86-60 and were led by Marlow Gilmore Jr with 18pts & 13rebs, Keonte Gregg added 11pts & 4asst, and Jonathan Hall chipped in with 10pts & 4rebs.  Great Team Effort!!

The Future150 Main Event was our first Tournament since May 26-28, 2017 in Columbia, SC.  It was the worst basketball played for us this year.  We started play against my former player Christian Savage's Upward Stars Columbia and they kicked our butts 69-39.  We were led by Keonte Gregg 14pts, Marlow Gilmore Jr added 8pts & 9rebs, and Miles Greene chipped in with 7pts. The 2nd game was much better against Charlotte Kings 87-64 win and were led by Max Holland with 20pts & 5rebs, Keonte Gregg added 19pts & 5rebs, Marlow Gilmore Jr had 11pts, 11rebs, 4assts, Jonathan Hall also scored 11pts, 8rebs, 5asst, and Isaiah Wright & Miles Greene chipped in with 10pts apiece.  Great Team Win!!!  I thought we were starting to get back into the grove of playing well.  First round of bracket play was against the Monarchs.  We lost a tough one 76-71 and were led by Keonte Gregg 24pts & 6rebs, Marlow Gilmore Jr added 11pts, 11rebs, 6blks, Jonathan Hall chipped in with 8pts & 6rebs, and Isaiah Wright had 5pts & 6rebs.  After this tournament it allowed the Hoyas to get prepared for Live Period in July.  GO HOYAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 16u Columbia Hoyas wins the 7th Annual Hoyas Invitational.  We started out with a win against Capital City Vipers 65-44.  We were led by Marlow Gilmore Jr with 19pts & 8rebs.  Jonathan Hall added it 12pts, 4rebs, 3assts, and Keonte Gregg chipped in with 10pts, 4stls, 4assts.  Great Team Win! 2nd Game was against Charlotte Jets North and we won 86-44.  Keonte Gregg led the Hoyas with 22pts, 4stls, 5rebs, Marlow Gilmore Jr added 12pts & 10rebs, Max Holland chipped in with 11pts, and Thomas Tyler dropped 10pts to help the Hoyas with a convincing win. Our 3rd game was against Charlotte Jets East and we won 55-49.  Keonte Gregg led the team with 13pts, 3assts, 5rebs, Marlow Gilmore Jr added 12pts, 5blks, 6rebs, and Thomas Tyler chipped in with 12pts.  The Hoyas move onto the 2nd round of the playoffs.  We face Capital City Vipers and pull off another win 56-34.  Keonte Gregg set the pace with 18pts & 6assts, Marlow Gilmore Jr added 17pts, 3blks, 9rebs, Thomas Tyler chipped in with 7pts, and Jonathan Hall filled the stat sheet up with 6pts, 4sts, 3rebs.  Another Great Team Win!!!  Championship Game was a against EA Prep Stars.  We won a tough game by a score of 50-45.  Keonte Gregg led the team in scoring with 30pts and Marlow Gilmore Jr added 9pts, 4blks, 12rebs.  We had a awesome tournament this weekend.  Thank you parents for your support and hard work.  GO HOYAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

The 16u Columbia Hoyas came into the tournament to defend there championship trophy.  We started the defense against Carolina Shockers and we prevailed with a 54-47 win.  We were led by Keonte Gregg with 28pts & 8stls, Marlow Gilmore Jr added 9pts, 4stls, 9rebs, and Isaiah Wright chipped in with 6pts, 4stls, 7rebs.  Thomas Tyler also chipped in with 6pts & 2stls.  Our next game was against Sumter Elite and we won 58-50.  We were led by Marlow Gilmore Jr with 19pts & 11rebs, Jonathan Hall added 17pts & 8rebs, and Keonte Gregg chipped in with 13pts, 4assts, 6rebs.  Championship Game was a rematch against the Sumter Elite and we won it 66-54.  Keonte Gregg scored 15pts to led the Hoyas in scoring and Jonathan Hall added 13pts, Marlow Gilmore Jr chipped in with 12pts & 7rebs & Maine Gibson had 12pts as well, and Isaiah Wright dropped 7pts & 8rebs.  The Hoyas wins another Championship and preparing for our upcoming tournament.

The 16u Columbia Hoyas flew to Houston, TX for the first live period for college coaches.  We kicked off against North Texas Heat Orange with an impressive victory 51-13.  We were led by Marlow Gilmore Jr 8pts & 9rebs & Miles Greene 8pts & 3rebs, Keonte Gregg & Isaiah Wright chipped in with 7pts apiece, and Jonathan Hall added 6pts.  Everybody --scored in this game.  2nd game was against Texas Fusion and we won 57-52.  Keonte Gregg scored 25pts & 7rebs, Jonathan Hall added 11pts, Marlow Gilmore Jr chipped in with 10pts & 9rebs, and Isaiah Wright scored 4pts with 9rebs.  Great Win!!!  Playoff round kicks off against YGC and we lost 58-39.  The Hoyas don't play well early in the morning.  We were led by Keonte Gregg with 18pts & 5rebs and Marlow Gilmore Jr with 7pts & 10rebs.  It was a great experience for our players and we had a great time in Houston, TX.   

Our 1st Live Period Event were College Coaches come out watch the 16u Hoyas.  We started on Friday night against Lake Murray Flight and won 75-56.  Jonathan Hall had 24pts, 6stls, 7assts, 4rebs, Marlow Gilmore Jr added 13pts & 9rebs, Keonte Gregg chipped in with 12pts & 3stls, and Maine Gibson scored 10pts to start the weekend on the right foot.  2nd Game was against a really good EAB Tigers team and we were up 15pts at the half.  Start of the 2nd half, we fell apart and lost 65-55.  We were led by Keonte Gregg with 18pts, Jonathan Hall added 15pts, and Maine Gibson chipped in with 8pts.  The 3rd game was against Carolina Conquerors and we bounced back with a win 80-63.  We were led by Keonte Gregg with 19pts & 6assts, Marlow Gilmore Jr added 18pts & 7rebs, Thomas Tyler chipped in with 15pts, and Miles Greene added 9pts & 5rebs.  Semi Final Game was against Team Loaded and they escape by with a 69-63 win.  Keonte Gregg scored 24pts & 6rebs in the lost.  Marlow Gilmore Jr added 20pts & 16rebs, and Thomas Tyler chipped in with 8pts and Jonathan Hall added 7pts & 6rebs.  It was a great tournament and lots of exposure for our kids.  Thank you for support parents and Go Hoyas!!!!!!!!!!! 

The 16u Columbia Hoyas wins the Rocky Top Spring Showcase in Gatlinburg, TN. We kicked off the tournament with an impressive win against East Tenn Revelation 65-49.  We were led by Marlow Gilmore Jr with 16pts, 11rebs & 7 blks, Max Holland chipped in 11pts & Jon Hall added 10pts.  Our next game was against Knoxville Wolfpack with another convincing win at 53-32.  We were led by Marlow Gilmore Jr with 12pts & 10rebs and Isaiah Wright added 6pts & 10rebs.  The Championship Game was against the Metro Wolves on Sunday.  We started out great defensively and cruise to victory with 43-23 win.  We were led by Keonte Gregg with 18pts and Thomas Tyler added 11pts.  Great Job this weekend HOYAS!  I have to give a shout out too my parents as well.  GO HOYAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 15u Columbia Hoyas wins the 2017 Rocky Top Spring Classic in Gatlinburg, TN.  We started off with tough opponent on Saturday against Big Time Bulldogs.  Aj Knight hit a 3 pointer at the buzzer to win a double overtime game.  We were led by Zion Jamison (1st game as a Hoya) with 12pts, Jarvis McClurkin added a double double with 10pts & 10rebs, and Jayden Sweetenburg chipped in with 6pts & 9rebs.  The 2nd game was a little easier against the SC Phenoms due 10-13 behind the 3pt line.  We were led by Jayden Sweetenburg with 17pts, Aj Knight added 16pts & 4assts, Darren Maharajh chipped in with 10pts & 3stls and JonAntheny had 9pts to add to a stellar performance by DEM HOYAS.  The playoff game pitted us against the Big Time Bulldogs (which wanted revenge from the earlier lost) and we squeak out another victory 55-50.  We were led by AJ Knight with 17pts, 6rebs & 5assts, Jarvis McClurkin added 12pts & 7rebs, and Darren Maharajh chipped in 10pts & 3assts.  The Championship Game was against Richmond Heat and it was a good one.  We won 39-36 and were led by AJ Knight again with 15pts, 6rebs & 3stls and JoAntheny Washington chipped in with 8pts.  Jay Wise lead the team in rebounding 25 total & 10 blks.

The 15u Columbia Hoyas wins the 2017 Hoya Fest Tip Off this weekend.  We started out slow our first game against CC Force with a 76-68 lost.  We were led by Jarvis McClurkin with 15pts & 8rebs, AJ Knight added 13pts & 4assts, Robert Rodgers chipped in with 12pts & 5rebs, and Jay Wise also had 9pts & 10rebs.  It was a great team effort.  2nd game was a better outcome against the Bluffton Bulls with 58-44 win.  We were led by AJ Knight 16pts, 3stls & 4assts, JonAntheny Washington added 8pts.  Playoff Game against Bluffton Bulls was a win for the Hoyas 56-43.  Jarvis McClurkin led the team with 21pts & 8rebs, Jayden Sweetenburg added 12pts & 7rebs, AJ Knight 8pts, 5rebs & 4assts, and Jay Wise chipped in with 5pts, 3blks & 9rebs.  Championship Game was a rematch with CC Force was Friday night and started out on fire from the 3pt line.  We won the game running away 69-48 and were led by Jarvis McClurkin with 28pts & 9rebs, Jayden Sweetenburg added 17pts & 7rebs, and AJ Knight chipped in with 9pts & 9assts.  The Hoyas are coming together as a team this weekend.  I am looking forward to great year.  GO HOYAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 The 16u Columbia Hoyas finished runner up in the Hoya Fest Tip Off.  We started the tournament against Capital City Vipers and won that game 63-33.  Marlow Gilmore Jr led the team in scoring with23pts, 5stls, 6rebs, Miles Greene added 11pts, and Isaiah Wright chipped in with 8pts & 10rebs.  2nd Game was against Bluffton Bulls and we won 55-51.  Keonte Gregg scored 15pts & 5assts, Marlow Gilmore Jr added 11pts 6blks, 16rebs, and Jonathan Hall chipped in with 9pts.  Third Game was against Lake Murray Flight and we won 51-47.  We were led by Keonte Gregg 15pts & 4stls, Marlow Gilmore Jr added 13pts & 14rebs, and Isaiah Wright chipped in with 7pts & 4rebs.  Championship Game was against UBA Elite and lost a buzzer beater 55-53.  We were led by Isaiah Wright 18pts & 6rebs, Marlow Gilmore Jr added 12pts & 15rebs, Keonte Gregg added 12pts, and Jonathan Hall chipped in with 11pts, 3assts, 6rebs.  It was another good showing by the Hoyas.  Thank you for your support parents!  GO HOYAS!!!!!! 

The Columbia Hoyas 15u team did not waste anytime getting back on the floor to claim 6th Annual Hoyas Invitational trophy this year.  We were just in Aiken, SC on May 14-15, 2016 taking care of business.  We kicked off our tournament on Friday night against Lake Murray Flight with a 66-53 win.  We were led by Jonathan Hall with 16pts, Marlow Gilmore Jr 13pts & 10rebs, Max Holland added 10pts & 8rebs, and Isaiah Wright chipped in with 7pts & 8rebs.  We were trailing most of the game until 2nd half and turned up the defensive pressure to close the game out.  On Saturday, we played Charlotte Jets and won 65-46.  We were led by Keonte Gregg & Marlow Gilmore Jr with 16pts & 8rebs, Jonathan Hall added 12pts, and Thomas Tyler chipped in with 9pts. .  Hoyas started Sunday off as the number 1 seed and was facing the Charlotte Jets team in the semi-finals and I know they want some revenge.  We started out flat and the Jets took advantage of our slow play and were leading at the half by 2pts.  The Hoyas regrouped and turned up the defensive pressure to win 54-50 and were led by Keonte Gregg 20pts & 12rebs, Jonathan Hall 15pts, and Marlow Gilmore Jr 13pts & 10rebs.  The Championship Game was classic battle between two teams that know each other pretty well.  The games was a close game that ending up going into overtime with the Hoyas pulling it out with a 71-61 win.  We were led by Marlow Gilmore Jr 25pts & 18rebs, Jonathan Hall 24pts & 4stls, Keonte Gregg 13pts, and Isaiah Wright adding 7pts & 5rebs.  This was a great team effort by the entire team.  It has been a great ride so far. Keep up the hard work!  GOOOO HOOYYAASS!!!!!

The 15u Columbia Hoyas flew to Las Vegas with a purpose in mind to win it all.  This was the biggest trip for our kids, parents, and coaches.  We kicked off the tournament against the host team 15u Jam on It.  We won 59-55 and were lead by Keonte Gregg with 25pts and Marlow Gilmore Jr chipped in with 22pts & 11rebs.  This game went by and forth all game long.  The key play in the game was Kameren Stewart taking a charge to win the game for us.  It was great to get the first win under our belt.  Great team effort by everyone!!

The 2nd game we played AG Elite and won 56-21 and were led by Keonte Gregg with 17pts, 4stls, 5asst, and Marlow Gilmore JR added 16pts & 10rebs.  The defense played well this game as a team.  I was very pleased with the overall effort of this game.

The 3rd game was against Texas Tigers in bracket play.  We won 55-32 and were led by Thomas Tyler 15pts, Marlow Gilmore JR added 12pts, 19rebs, 4stls, and Keonte Gregg chipped in 12pts.  Our defense won this game.  They were all over place on defense and just pleased with the effort from my bench players.

Championship Game was against Holiday Elite and we won 67-56.  We were led by Keonte Gregg with 19pts, Jonathan Hall added 16pts, Marlow Gilmore JR chipped in 13pts & 12rebs to win a big game for our program.  Even though my other players did not score a lot of points this weekend, but they were major factors in this championship for the Hoyas.  I want to give a shout out to Isaiah Wright ( avg 5 rebs per game), Miles Greene (Defensive Stopper on there best player), Max Holland (contributed 7pts & 6rebs in championship game), Kameren Stewart (Does all the little things to help the team win), and Thomas Tyler ( 3pt specialist) .  Thank you for your hard work and determination to win 15U Columbia Hoyas!!!!!!!!!

My parents I cannot express how thankful I am to have you guys in my corner.  It has been a great ride so far over the years.  I want to give a shout out to my parents that have been with for a long time Theresa & Robert Holland (5yrs), Stacy & Tarence Tyler (5yrs),  Shondala & Mike Hall (4yrs), and Kathy Stewart (2yrs).

The 15u Columbia Hoyas went into Aiken, SC this past weekend to claim rights to the War in the Garden IV Championship.  The Hoyas started play on Saturday, May 14, 2016 against Atlanta Celtics.  We won the game 55-29 and were lead by Keonte Gregg 13pts, 5 stls & 6 asst, Thomas Tyler with 10pts, and Jonathan Hall & Marlow Gilmore with 8pts each.  This was a great team effort by the entire Hoya team.

The 2nd game was against the host team Aiken Warriors and beat them 81-53.  We were lead by Keonte Gregg with 27pts & 3asst, Marlow Gilmore 24pts , 7rebs, 4 dunks, and Jonathan Hall with 19pts and nice dunk on top of player.  Isaiah Wright chipped in with 6pts & 7rebs.  I really enjoyed this game, because USCA Head Men Basketball Coach Mark Vanderslice was in the house watching my players.

The semi-final game was against Elite 2020.  We won 65-40 and were lead by Keonte Gregg with 28pts, 3stls, 3asst, Jonathan Hall chipped in with 12pts & 4rebs, and Max Holland added 8pts.  The defensive performance was outstanding by everyone of my players.

The Championship Game was against the #1 team in the State of South Carolina the SC Ballers Elite.  We beat them 77-71 and were up by 17pts at one point in the game.  We were lead by Jonathan Hall with 28pts, Marlow Gilmore & Thomas Tyler chipped in with 11pts each, Isaiah Wright had 8pts & Max Holland added 7pts & 12rebs.  Great Team effort!!!!  GO HOYAS!!!!!

The Hoyas are rolling right now, we are 8-1 the last two tournaments and looking forward to continue our success for the upcoming tournament on May 27-29, 2016 (6th Annual Hoyas Invitational).

The 15u Columbia Hoyas were taking a road trip to Greensboro, NC to play in a College Exposure Event.  We started play on Friday night against a good NC Spartans team and won 84-69.  We were led by Marlow Gilmore Jr. with 27 pts. & 9rebs, Keonte Gregg added 24 pts., 5 asst & 7rebs, Jonathan Hall chipped in with 15 pts, 5 asst, 6rebs.  The team came out ready to play tonight.  We had a chip on our shoulders on the defensive side of the ball.  I was very pleased with the team effort tonight.

Game 2 - The Upward Stars Corn 15u was our next opponent on Saturday morning.  We won 66-52 and were led by Keonte Gregg with 21pts, Marlow Gilmore Jr. added 19pts, 4blks, 7rebs, and Jonathan Hall chipped in with 17pts.  Another great performance by the Big 3 and Mob Squad.  I have 8 total players and all contribute differently to allow the team to win vie scoring, rebounding, boxing out, hard fouls, toughness, and just all out defensive effort.  I am so proud of my Mob Squad and allowing the Big 3 to carry us offensively this year.

Game 3 - The Team 1 on 1 Elite was the best team in the tournament I thought.  They gave us fits all game long, but we pulled it out by winning 46-40 and our unsung hero was Kameren Stewart with his defensive effort.  He changed the outcome of the game by taking a couple of charges and scored 4pts down the stretch.  We were lead by Jonathan Hall with 17pts and Marlow Gilmore Jr. added 12pts & 8rebs.  This game decided our fate in moving on to Sunday, by winning this game allowed us to win our pool.  Great Job again my Mighty Hoyas!!!

Game 4 - Playoff Time - Our Semi-Final Game was against Cross-Over Randolph team and they had some shooters.  They would spread you out and spot those 3-point shooters up ready to fire.  The Big 3 and Mob Squad was ready for them and it showed with a 72-55 win.  We were lead by Max Holland with 14pts & 9rebs, Keonte Gregg added 17pts, 3stls, 4rebs, Jonathan Hall chipped in with 14pts, and Marlow Gilmore Jr had quiet 12pts, 5blks & 7rebs.  I cannot express it enough about this team will to win.  GO HOYAS!!!!

Game 5 - CHAMPIONSHIP GAME was against Team Cobras and had no time to rest.  Soon after we won the semi-final game we had to rush to a different court to play the championship game.  NO EXCUSES MADE!  Bring it on and were down at the half 34-23.  2nd half we brought our a game and took the lead by 6 with less than 2 minutes left.  When I tell I still don't know what happen to us in that 2 minute stretch that caused us to lose 65-60.  GO FIGURE!  We were lead by Marlow Gilmore Jr. with 23pts & 9rebs, Keonte Gregg added 22pts & 5stls, and Jonathan Hall chipped in 11pts as well.  I don't give my son enough praise, but he does all the dirty work for the team.  For example, he rebounds, box out to allow other teammates to get the rebound, scores when needed, one of our better passer on the team, and like my assist coach has a nick name for him THE HYBID.

In conclusion of having a great weekend, I want to take the time to give my parents all the praise in allowing me to coach their kids, teach them life lessons, and be role model as well.  GOOOOO HOYASSSSS!

The 17u Columbia Hoyas are on a roll of late.  The hoyas have won three tournaments in a row.  This past weekend the hoyas beat AMC Raptures 59-54 to win the Warriors House Pre-Nationals Invitational.

It was a great weekend for the Hoyas camp.  We had a total of 42 teams signed up for the 4th Annual Hoyas Invitational and my 17u, 13u, and 12u won there age divisions.  The 14u team finished 2nd to the SC Knicks.  I want to take this time out to thank my coaches, players, parents, and my sponsors as well.  I am looking forward to an even better tournament on May 29-31, 2015.  GO HOYAS!!!!!!!

The hoyas had another great performance this weekend.  We participated in one day tournament in Charlotte, NC.  We should have won the tournament.  We gave the game away to CC Force 71-69 in overtime.  We missed 22 free thhrows and had 27 turnovers in the game.  I take my hat off to CC Force they did not quit, they applied enough pressure on us to win the game.  We are 8-3 since first tournament, So keeping grinding Hoyas.  GO HOYAS!!!!!

The hoyas had a great time in Greensboro, NC.  We finished 4-1 and lost to the SC Hawks in the championship game.  Since the first tournament we are 6-2 and playing so much better overall.  I am proud of there growth individual and as a team.  Keep working hard hoyas!!  GO HOYAS!!!
