Invite you to our annual May Shoot to be held

May 11th and 12th, 2024 

Please join us for a weekend of fun and friendly competition 

for traditional archers of all ages. 

 Please pass this along to your fellow archers. 

Located in the same great location as previous years!

Elmhurst Outdoors (65 Ganong Rd, Erbs Cove, NB, E5N 8B2 (506) 832-4421)

A 10 minute drive from Hampton, New Brunswick (see directions below).

Primitive camping is available and there is lots of room for trailers. 

An outdoor shower will be available this year for campers. 

Meals will not be provided. (Please bring your own supplies).

  There will be a canteen at the lodge both days offering a light lunch. 

Enjoy 2 days of shooting with 2 rounds of 20 stations each day, and 2 arrows per station. 

There will be a novelty event on Saturday. 

We will have 7 categories: Peewee, Junior, Men’s Longbow, Men’s Recurve,

Men’s Primitive,  Ladies, and Beginners  

Registration will begin at 8:30am until 9:30am on Saturday May 11th. The 1st round will start at 10:00am.  

(Sunday, May 12th will start at 9:30am) 

Registration fee is $40.00 for Adults, $20.00 for Juniors (14-17), and $15.00 for Peewees (13 and under)

 Donations for Door Prizes are appreciated.

Directions

* Take exit 158 off highway #1 into Hampton.

* Turn right at the stop sign beside the RCMP station.

* Take the third exit from the roundabout. 

* Stay on that road until you come to Kredl’s Market.

* Turn left at Kredl’s Market.

* Stay on that road.

* After 5 or 6 minutes turn right on to Peters Hill Rd.

* Follow Peters Hill Rd until you cross a one lane bridge, then, veer off to the left on to the Ganong Rd.

* The location is Elmhurst Outdoors, approximately 3 miles down the Ganong Rd.

You can also come through the Gondola Point ferry if coming from the Saint John area. 

Cross the Gondola Point Ferry.

Turn right and go to Kingston Corner.

Turn right, taking the 845 toward Hampton.

Turn left on Whiting Lane (5km beyond Kingston) and then right on the Ganong Road.

The location is Elmhurst Outdoors (about 1.5 km)

Woodland Traditional Archers (WTA) was formed in September of 1997.
Its goal was, and still is , to promote traditional archery at all age levels. From the original 4 members, WTA has now grown to over 65 participants including Peewees and Juniors. Shooting occurs on a weekly basis, both indoor and outdoor depending on the season, and WTA holds two to three tournaments each year.

Practices - Indoors until May shoot 

Day and time:

Adults, Juniors - Mondays from 6-9pm beginning Oct 16th 2023.  

Youth Educations Program for Peewees and Juniors - Friday 6-8pm  beginning Oct 6th 2023

Location - Quispamsis Elementary School Gym, 290 Hamptin Road, Quispamsis, NB  

There will be no archery on "No School" days

 

All registrations are to be done and paid for online through this website.

Annual Membership (There are no longer additional nightly fees) :
Adult - $60.00
Junior (14-17) - $60.00 

  • Annual Membership fees are due October 1st or at the time of registration. 
  • A paid member of the club entitles that person to automatic membership and insurance coverage through the National Firearms Association.  The club's NFA membership and insurance runs from Oct 1st to Sept 30th. Participants registered before Oct 1st will be set up with NFA when we renew after Sept 30th.
  • Fees help pay for the costs of repairing and replacing targets and other equipment.
  • Please remember that indoors shoes, slippers or sock feet only are permitted in the gym.
  • Memberships expire on September 30th the following year.

Youth Education Program  (Peewees13 & under) (Junoirs 14-17) - Registration $60.00

Friday evenings time frames are 6-7pm and 7- 8pm.  Youth aged 7, 8 and 9 will be placed in the 6-7pm time frame.

  • The program involves progressing through 4 levels of instruction.
  • Youth Education equipment is supplied.
