AGFA Hosting 2009 Fall High School Softball League
Attention High School Softball Coaches and Softball Booster Clubs:
The Austin Girls FastPitch Association Softball League will be hosting a Fall High School Softball season at Butler and Williams Fields in Austin.
This will be an 8 game season starting on September 14 and ending on November 23. There will also be an end of season tournament.
The cost will be $415 per team. In addition each team will pay the Umpires at the Plate $30 per game.
Games will be on Monday nights, 75 min. “Drop Dead”
Games will start at 6:45 PM & 8:15 PM
This league will be made up of Varsity and JV teams. JV teams will play against Varsity teams.
Space is limited so please act soon.
Special League Rules:
1) Teams can not be coached by High School Coaches.
2) Uniforms are not required.
3) Tie games will be allowed.
4) Teams must have at least one 16U rated Pitcher Pitching at all times.
5) Rain outs will try to be made up on Weekends.
6) Metal Cleats will be allowed.
7) There will be a 5 run limit to insure more playing time.
8) Pick Up players will be allowed to insure that teams have at least 9 players.
9) Each team will furnish a roster and provide parental signatures waiving AGFA of liability for accidents that may arise during league games.
10) Austin Girls FastPitch will provide liability insurance for league play.
11) PLAY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Who We Are?
AGFA is a non-profit charitable organization organized under the IRS laws encompassing 501 © (3) entities and is committed to providing opportunities for young athletes to engage in quality, competitive recreational experiences. AGFA currently consist of 13 teams of ages from 10 to 18. The teams comprising AGFA are :

12 & UNDER: AUSTIN STARS, AUSTIN STORM, FREEZE(Escobar), AUSTIN'S FINEST 97

16 & UNDER AUSTIN STARS, AUSTIN STORM, TEXAS BLAZE 16U
18 & UNDER AUSTIN STAMPEDE, AUSTIN STORM GOLD, TWISTERS
AGFA is dedicated to the idea that any athlete regardless of race, creed, religious affiliation or socio-economic status should be given the opportunity. A competitive recreational athletic experience can instill good work ethic, enhance social development, contribute to mental & physical health and teach values of personal responsibility, self discipline, self-motivation and teamwork. Participation in fast pitch softball also improves the athlete’s opportunity to realize goals of :
1. Improving individual skills and ability to play and contribute as a member of a team.
2. Earning &/or keeping a position on the team.
3. Earning a college scholarship.
Each of the above goals involves individual player growth. This includes improvement in skill level and in the mental outlook necessary to be a successful member of a select team.
