GCAA Announces Registration for the 2023-2024 Intramural Basketball Season

GCAA intramural basketball registration for the 2023-2024 season is now available at https://registration.teamsnap.com/form/1282.  This link is also available at www.gc-aa.com (click basketball and find the link on the homepage).  Please register early to lock in the rates of $90 for the K/1st grade clinics and $125 for intramural games (2nd-8th grades.)  Late fees of $25 will apply after October 31st.  There are also limited spots for each grade and with over 800 participants, we do expect to reach capacity.

The GCAA intramural basketball season starts on Saturday, December 2nd and runs thru early March (12/2, 12/9, 12/16, 1/6, 1/20, 1/27, 2/3, and 2/10).  Playoffs for older grades will be played on 2/24, 3/2, and concludes with Championship Saturday on March 9th.  GCAA rosters, schedules, standings, and clinics are easy to follow via the GCAA Basketball website starting in late November. 

Games will be played at St. Paul’s and our anticipated schedule for the 2023-2024 season is as follows:

8:00 -  9:00 AM   (Kindergarten & 1st Grade Clinics, Boys and Girls)

9:00 - 10:00 AM  (2nd Grade Boys Games)

10:00 - 11:00 AM (2nd/3rd Grade Girls Games)

11:00 - 12:00 PM (3rd Grade Boys Games)

12:00 - 1:30 PM   (4th Grade Boys Games)

1:30 - 3:00 PM     (5th Grade Boys Games)

3:00 - 4:30 PM     (4th/5th/6th Grade Girls Games)

4:30 - 6:00 PM     (6th Grade Boys Games)

 7th/8th Grade Boys Games time varies (Saturday afternoons & Friday nights)

 7th/8th Grade Girls Games time varies (Saturday afternoons & Friday nights)

GCAA Announces Registration and Tryouts for the 2023-2024 Travel Basketball Season

GCAA will be hosting tryouts for Travel Basketball beginning September 18th. All travel teams will play in the Island Garden Super League, which includes a 15 game schedule for boys and a 12 game schedule for girls (plus playoffs) starting in late November 2023 and running thru March 2024.  Teams will practice 1-2 times per week. GCAA aims to create two or three teams per grade subject to adequate demand and available coaching.

Players must register and pay prior to tryouts using the link (https://registration.teamsnap.com/form/1277).  Payment will be reimbursed in the case that your child does not make a team.  Please note there is an additional charge of $50 for all players that require a new uniform.       

In addition to travel team games and practices, participation in the GCAA weekend Intramural program is mandatory for boys 6th grade and under, and girls 5th grade and under.  Boys 7th and above are strongly encouraged to participate, though it is not required.  Parents need to register separately for Intramurals once Intramural registration opens in late September.  GCAA Travel Basketball does its best to work around additional Middle School/CYO conflicts during the basketball season, and ensures that there are no scheduling conflicts between travel/intramural games.

3rd Grade Boys - Tuesday, September 26th from 6:00 - 7:30 PM at St Paul’s

4th Grade Boys - Monday, September 18th from 6:00 - 7:30 PM at St Paul's

5th Grade Boys - Monday, September 18th from 7:30 - 9:00 PM at St Paul's

6th Grade Boys - Monday, September 25th from 6:00 - 7:30 PM at St Paul's

7th Grade Boys - Monday, September 25th from 7:30 - 9:00 PM at St Paul's

8th Grade Boys - Tuesday, September 26th from 7:30 - 9:00 PM at St Paul’s

4th Grade Girls - Tuesday, September 19th from 6:00 - 7:30 PM at St Paul's

5th Grade Girls - Tuesday, September 19th from 6:00 - 7:30 PM at St Paul's
