Happy New Year and WELCOME BACK!

We hope you’re all ready to play ball!! 

Springfield Babe Ruth Baseball is excited to announce plans are being put in place for a successful 2021 season.  We are confident we’ll be able to play this year, and really hope everyone who registered in 2020 is excited to return for some competitive baseball.

Player evaluations are tentatively scheduled for Friday and Saturday March 5 & 6th, on the turf field at Hamlin Middle School. Times for ages will be set a bit later. This year players only have to attend one session. AGES this year are from 5 & 6 for TBallers through 15 for National Prep teams! We can’t wait to see all of our new and returning players and families. Remember, many returning players have a credit on 2021 fees!

As you know, after months of preparation for a 2020 season, unprecedented state regulations and other uncertainties surrounding the pandemic forced its cancellation. However recently our area has seen a number of local youth organizations implement safety measures allowing them to successfully operate outdoor sports leagues. Springfield Babe Ruth Baseball fully expects this year’s season will include pandemic-related safety measures, the extent to which will be determined. With a few safety changes, we are confident we will play baseball this year!

Please help us spread the word and grow our quality baseball program by serving as a Springfield Babe Ruth Baseball ambassador! Ask other parents if they’ve heard the great news & are getting ready for baseball yet. Let your youngsters’ friends and classmates know SBRB would love for them to join us on the field this year for what promises to be a fun and competitive season! Follow our Facebook page. In response to a few frequently asked questions: 

● All Springfield Babe Ruth Board members, coaches, and managers are volunteers. Are you interested in coaching or volunteering in another capacity? ex: Board Members, event helper, fundraising helper. Contact the Board at MillerBabeRuthBaseball@gmail.com. 

● The Board intends to undertake a vigorous fundraising campaign to help make this season happen. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to cover portions of player fees, uniform costs, team supplies and other requirements. Please email us if you have local business contacts that may be interested in contributing to the success of our program. 

● Every single dollar raised will go directly into running the Springfield Babe Ruth Baseball program. Because it’s more than a game…it’s about fun, camaraderie, forging friendships and those valuable life lessons learned on and off the field.
