Saugus Pop Warner is the premiere football program in the town of Saugus
Saugus Pop Warner is pleased and excited to announce that we will be joining the Middlesex League for the upcoming 2009 season. The teams we will be competing against are Arlington, Burlington, LBH, Melrose, Reading, Stoneham, Wakefield, Waltham, Watertown/Belmont, Wilmington, and Woburn.
This will be a great test for our organization and we welcome the challenge. Join us in our 30th year to help make Saugus Pop Warner the biggest and best ever with many new and exciting events. Our certified, experienced coaches are excited to teach the youth of Saugus the game of football, sportsmanship and fair play.

ALSO, ALL TEAM PICTURES HAVE ARRIVED AND WILL BE PASSED OUT STARTING ON THURSDAY , OCTOBER 29 AT PRACTICE, FRIDAY OCTOBER 30 AT PRACTICE AND AT THE GAMES ON SUNDAY IF YOU MISSED GETTING YOUR PICTURE PACKAGE. PLEASE SEE YOUR HEAD COACH OR TEAM MOM FOR YOUR PICTURES.
2009 REGISTRATION
Registration for the 2009 season is still being accepted. Email Andy Angelone (A3818A@aol.com) for more information. The registration fee is $175.00.
Please note: Due to the tough economy, SPW will accept deposits on registrations and parents can make regular and timely payments to satisfy the registration fee.
Practice Gear and Apparel
Universal Screening was at the registration on June 24th and 25th to offer new and returning football players and cheerleaders the chance to purchase practice gear that is needed for the upcoming season. Anyone still in need of merchandise can contact Universal Screening through their website.
AGE & WEIGHT REQUIREMENTS
The following information applies to football players only:
E team - 45-90 lbs. (ages 7, 8, & 9)
D team - 60-105 lbs. (ages 8, 9 & 10)
older/lighter - 60-85 lbs. (age 11 only)
C team - 75-120 lbs. (ages 9, 10, & 11)
older/lighter - 75-100 lbs. (age 12 only)
B team - 85-135 lbs. (ages 10, 11, & 12)
older/lighter - 85-115 lbs. (age 13 only)
A team - 105-160 lbs. (ages 11, 12, 13, & 14)
older/lighter - 105-140 lbs. (age 15 only)
