Waldorf College 2nd Baseman Baamonde joins Brewers.
The Brewers signed infielder Jonathan Baamonde. JB is from Herndon Va. JB is a freshman 5'8" 160 2nd Baseman at Waldorf College in the state of Iowa. JB attended South Lakes High School in 2009 he played in 21 games had 64 at bats scored 21 runs 24 hits 5 doubles and 20 RBI's and hit .375 the Brewers are pleased to have JB on Board.

Former Fulton-Montgomery Standout utility infielder Osiris Mendez signs with Utica
The Utica Brewers Improved there offence and defense by signing Fulton-Montgomery standout utility infielder and power hitter 6'2" 230lb Osiris Mendez from Queens New York and Dominican Republic. Osiris is a graduate of Richmond Hill High School and is a jack of all trades as he plays catcher, third base and 1st Base. Osiris was selected to the all conference and all region teams his freshmen season, where he was primarily a catcher and third basemen. He played two years of varsity baseball in high school and was named team MVP his junior and senior year. He was also named to the PSAL 1st team all star his senior year of high school. Osiris Hit .407 scored 23 runs 13 doubles 3HR's 31RBI's at Fulton-Montgomery..

Chris Hackett Albany U Right Hander signs with Brewers.
University of Albany Right Hander and Niagara Power (NYCBL) relief pitchers joins Brewers Staff for 2010.Chris was a Four-year member of the baseball team and two-year member of the football team at Saratoga Springs High School... Team captain as a junior and senior... Team MVP as a senior... Suburban Council all-star as a senior...Chris in 21inn of relief for the Power had an era of 3.00. Chris is 6'1" 192lbs Jr at Albany U.

Anna Maria College Jeff Kodys Catcher/1st Baseman signes with Brewers
November 7, 2009 Brewers signed 6"1 245 Anna Maria College sophomore Catcher/1st Baseman Jeff Kodys. Jeff manned the catcher position for the AMCATS this year and was selected as a member of the All-TCCC Second Team. He completed the season batting .327 with 36 hits, seven doubles, three homers, 26 runs batted in, 20 runs scored, and 52 total bases; finishing among the top five on the club in each category. Jeff had nine multi-hit games on the year and drove in multiple runs seven times. With Kodys and all but one player returning next season, the AMCATS are poised to make a run in 2010.

Brewers sign former Niagara Power NYCBL outfielder Eric Birch.

Brewers have signed former Niagara Power outfielder (NYCBL) and sophomore outfielder for Waldorf College (Iowa). Eric is from Andover Minnesota.
Eric led the power in hitting with a .314 avg the brewers are happy to have a quality player and experienced outfielder.


Carter Franz Former Players Brother Joins Brewers.
October 26, 2009 Carter Franz of St.Lawrence University outfielder and 3rd baseman agrees to play for the Utica Brewers in the summer of 2010. Carter 6'1 180 is the younger brother of former Utica Brewer Shane Franz who attends Stoneybrook College and is in his senior year. Carter was a 4 year starter at Cazenovia Central HS , finished Senior year with
.509 batting avg. , was selected 1st Team all Liberty League in both Junior and Senior year , 2nd Team All - Central NY as a Senior and was also selected to the 5th Team All State in class B in his Senior year.


U Albany Cutspec to play for Brewers.
October 11, 2009 The Brewers signed U Albany sophomore 6"2 180 outfielder/infielder and Fort Plain standout Adam Cutspec. Adam is in his 2nd year at U Albany. Adam Attended Fort Plain High School was a Four-year letterwinner at Fort Plain... Batted .497 in his career, including a .554 average as a senior... Finished career with 144 hits, including 40 doubles, 14 triples and 13 home runs... Scored 136 runs and recorded 82 RBI over four years... Also tallied 47 stolen bases and a .866 career slugging percentage... Was a two-time All-State Class C first team honoree... Named the Co-MVP of the Western Athletic Conference as a junior and a senior... Was a first-team WAC All-Star as a freshman and sophomore... Took the team batting title for three consecutive seasons... Led Fort Plain to four straight Class C Section II championships.

U Albany Kevin Bartlett Joins Brewers Staff.

The Utica Brewers Just added more depth today to there pitching staff by signing University of Albany freshman Left hander Kevin Bartlett. Kevin is 6'6" 205lbs and lives in East Lyme CT Kevin Attended East Lyme High School in 2009.

The Brewers signed Jason Winowiecki a 5"11 192lb right handed freshman pitcher from St.Peters College. Jason is from Traverse City Michigan. Jason attended Traverse City Central High School,in Traverse City, Michigan were he threw a perfect game and 2 no hitters in his 4 year tenure at TC Central. Jason also Broke the all time TC Central win record Second all time single season TC Central strike out record, and was Named to All District 1st Team Named to All Conference 1st Team Named to All Region Dream Team and Named to the All State 2nd Team in 2009. Set all-time TC Central win record Set all-time TC Central strikeout record and had a 1.33 Career high school ERA. the Brewers welcome Jason to the staff in route to another League Championship.



Davis & Elkins Tyler Karp to play for Brewers in 2010.
September 23, 2009 Davis & Elkins Right Hander 6"3" 230 lb Sophomore Tyler Karp agrees to play for the Brewers in the summer of 2010. Tyler is from Weston West Virginia and attended Lewis County High School in 2008. In 2009 as a freshman Tyler was the Senators number 4 man in the rotation in League games and looking to move up in the rotation this year for the senators. The Brewers welcome Tyler to the Staff.

Brewers sign 3 LIU Top Freshmen

The Utica Brewers are on There way in trying to requite top players for the 2010 summer season to repeat as League ECBL Champions and another trip to the Regional’s. The Brewers signed 3 top freshmen from Long Island University.

Brewers are happy to announce that LIU 3b Albert Faz will join the Brewers roster this summer in 2010. Albert is from Miami Florida and attended South Miami HS a Class 6A. Albert was 1st Team All Dade County in Florida Hit .392 2 HR's and 23 RBI’S in 09.

The Utica brewers signed 6'4 220lb Right handed relief pitcher from Long Island University Bryan Saffelle. Bryan attended Mansfield HS in Mass. Bryan is a hard throwing righty who led the State of Massachusetts in ERA as a senior at Mansfield High in 2009 the Brewers again are happy to add another quality arm to the pitching staff from LIU.

Long Island University Freshman right hander 6'3" 175lbs from Archbishop Molloy HS Christopher Franzese has agreed to play with the Brewers this summer. Chris is a hard throwing righty who topped out in high school at 88mph. Brewers welcome Franzese to the staff.


Brewers Regional Runners up.
The Utica Brewers season finished runner up in ohio Regional.

The Utica Brewers finished in 2nd place in the 2009 NABF Regional's in Toledo Ohio going 2-1 and tied with Shannon Fence (Cleveland Ohio) 2-1. Due to all the rain and changing of the format of the tournament the brewers championship game against the 2-1 Shannon Fence team went to a head to head tie breaker were Utica lost to Shanon Fence 5-2 so they were awarded the Championship and a ticket to the 2009 NABF World Series in Toledo Ohio on August 6th. Utica was the runner up of the regional tournament and finished the season 24-10.


Brewers sweep Thunderbolts to earn ECBL Title.
The Utica Brewers found away to beat the thunderbolts the Brewers and Bolts squared off in a best 2 out of 3 playoff on Sunday. In game 1 the brewers matched the great performance by 6'11 right handed pitcher Joe Melioris as Brewers left hander Andrew Wall (Ithaca College).Andrew pitched 6 strong innings only allowing 2 hits 1 earned run 2 k's and a walk to earn his 4th win of the season. League leading hitter Eddie George was 2/3 with a run and league leading and record 30th stolen base of the season. Jeremy Nowak (Stoney Brook) drove in the winning run in the 7th with an RBI double to left center and came in to close the game in the 7th to earn his 5th save of the year as the Brewers beat Rome in game 1 2-1.

In game 2 another Pitching duel Cory Keesee (Davis @ Elkins) picked up his 6th win on the season going 6-0 pitched 6 1/3 innings allowing 1 run 2 hits and 4k's 3 walks. Once again Eddie George (Brunswick CC) had 2 hits in 3 at bats 1 SB and drove in the all important 3rd run in the 5th.Jason Simone (Cortland State) drove in the brewers 1st run with a triple in the 1st. and then Jeremy Nowak drove in that proved to be the winning run as he did in game 1 with a single to drive in Jason Simone. Ryan Flanagan (Davis @ Elkins ) come in relief in the 6th to earn his 6th save of the season pitching 2 innings allowing 2 hits 2 k's 2 BB giving the Brewers The 2009 ECBL League Champions.

The Brewers are know off to play in a double elimination NABF tournament in Youngstown Ohio on wednesday 7/29 and hoping to go to the College NABF World Series in Toledo Ohio August 5th.
