    Staten Island Champs
    Champs Results Daniel Galford ended his CYO tenure with a blazing 4:54.5 Mile. Daniel then came from the back of the pack to capture the 800 SMR with another amazing run clocking 55.8 for his 400. Other long time CYO standouts on the boys side who we will surely see in high school and miss here captured individual titles also Kenben Kpofolo 100 (13.5),Shot Put (37-1) Peter Auqafredda 800 (2:25.6), Reginald Tucker long Jump (14-11) 4x100 (54.7).
    On the girls side Brittany Spoto 800 (2:49.5), Long Jump (14-5) Led the senior girls, Madeline Garcia 200 (30.7) also capped a very nice CYO stint.


    Blessed Scarament
    Blessed Scarament Results Blessed Sacrament captured the girls, boys and overall titles in the Titan League meet. In the boys division Blessed Sacrament (133) held off St. John Villa (91) And Our lady Queen of Peace (73). In the Girls Division Blessed Sacrament (104.5) outscored Our Lady of Good Counsel (81) and Notre Dame Academy (73.5). Overall Blessed Sacrament scored 237.5 points to capture the title while St. John Villa scored 128 for second and St. Peters scored 101 for third holding off threats by Our Lady of Good Counsel and Our Lady Queen of Peace who both scored 100 points to round out the top five.

    MSIT Super Meet
    MSIT SUPER MEET RESULTS Staten Island Tech track team hosted the 2nd Annual Super Meet on Saturday. 119 Events were contested including the coaches 4x100, amazingly the coaches were able to continue with the meet after the race. One of the highlights of the day came as multiple teams combined to take on Dan Galfords 1600 SMR team, through three legs it looked like they had him but Dans half mile effort was too much. I hope everyone enjoyed the meet.

    BLESSED SACRAMENT
    BLESSED SACRAMENT SCHEDULE

    Archdiocese Championship
    Archdiocese Champioship Results CYO Staten Island traveled north to Bardonia New York to defend its Archdiocese Championship. Led by Triple Gold winners Nicollette Chester (100 meters 15.9, Long Jump 12' 4" and 4x 100 meter relay) and Peter Clark (Long Jump 13' 4" 800 Meters 2:46.2 and 4 x100 meter relay) Staten Island amassed 446 points outdistancing Manhattans 182 points. Staten Islands CYO 1995/1996 Girls (Sara Lacause,Nicolette Chester,Jessica Damitz,Selina Francolino) turned in a blazing 58.8 to capture the 4 x 100. While Brittany Spoto Had a terrific day in the 800 2:49.6 and Long Jump 14' 9".


    OLGC Mad Dash
    Our Lady of Good Counsel and the Garcia Family hosted the mad dash Saturday. The Rains held off and great performances were turned in by many teams.

    Parlatore Meet
    Parlatore Full Results Here The Rains held off as Ken Parlatore hosted The Luke Parlatore Memorial Meet. St John Villa (Christian Herkert, Armend Lajka, Reginald Tucker, D'Mari Fuller) continued to impress as they toured the track in 55.2 in the 4x100 meter relay, as did the girls from Blessed Sacrament (Vienna Francolino, Jessica Damitz, Alexa Roda, Sara Lacause) running a snappy 58.6 in the same event.
    Dan Galford had an outstanding day running 4:44.1 1500 meters,then came back to run a 57.3 split in anchoring the St. Mary's parlatore SMR team to a third place finish.


    St Clare Results
    The 2009 season Kicked off under beautiful skies as St. Clare hosted the opener, Dan Galford (800 Meters 2:15.5)and St.John Villa Boys (Mile relay 54.3) team led the outstanding performances.

    Staten Island Champs 2008
    As the heat continued so did Blessed Sacraments impressive performances capturing of the 2008 Island title, Our Lady Queen of Peace was second, while St. Peters was third in the overall division. In the Girls division Notre Dame amassed 114 points to take second. Complete results available in the results section.

    Blessed Sacrament turns up the heat
    The Blessed Sacrament titans turned up the heat on the rest of the field as
    they easily won Blessed Sacramet Titan League Meet. The Titans Captured the Boys, Girls and Overall titles behind strong performances of Nicolette Kroczynski, (100, 4x100), Alexa Roda (Long Jump, 4x100) Keshaun Hodges (400, 4x100) Michael Ahr (100, 4x100) Jewel Dozier (100, SMR) and Vienna Francolino

    Archdiocese Championships
    Daniel Galford cruised to victory in the 800 meters 2:23.9 as Staten Island Captured the Archdiocese title. Staten Island netted 44 of the 52 Events in their victory.
    Staten Island Double Gold Medal winners included Dominick Santacroce, Peter Clark, Vienna Francolino, Nicolette Chester, Kenben Kpofolo, Keshaun Hodges,
    Brianne Garcia, Brittany Spoto, Thomas Cobb, Natalie Clark,& Kerri Butler.


    Parlatore Memorial Meet
    Anthony Folino of St Charles led the Charge in the fields as the 8th Grader Threw the Shot Put 35'8".

    St Clare Crusader Relays 2008
    The 2008 spring season kicked off under cool skies with over 1000 Athletes registered and 20 teams competing in The St Clare Crusader Relays. Daniel Galford led all 800 meter runners with a snappy 2:29.2. While Blessed Sacrament 8th grade girls (Sara Lacause, Inyaura Lawrence, Selina Francolino, Nicolette Kroczynski)set the bar at 59.4 for the 4x100 relay. St Patrick boys
    Thomas Cobb, Victor DeMaio, James Pipitone, Michael Buonocore Dipped under the wire in 56.0.

    Hearts of Champions



    Sixteen girls broke the seven-minute, one-mile barrier in the Catholic Youth Organization's seventh/eighth-grades race at Clove Lakes Park.

    Notre Dame Academy's Katherine Henri edged St. Patrick's Kerri Butler in a winning 6 minutes, 1.5 seconds timing.

    In the boys' seventh/eighth-grades run, five competitors finished under 10 minutes for the 1.5-miles distance. Sacred Heart's Andrew Cannon nipped St. Patrick's Daniel Galford by one second for first place.

    Michelle Rupelli (SCl), 6:29.2, and John Cosgriff (SJST), 1:37.9 went back to their winning ways while Dylan Walsh (SH), 2:45.9 Captured his first race of the year.

    Cannon Captures 8th Grade Race



    St. Patrick's Kerri Butler and Sacred Heart's Andrew Cannon set the pace in the Catholic Youth Organization Cross-Country Meet at Clove Lakes Park.

    Both competing in the 7th-8th Grade divisions, Butler logged the girls' one-mile course in 6 minutes, 10 seconds and one tenth, while Cannon covered boys' one-and-a-half miles in 9:30.5.

    Henry Captures Top Race

    Excitement filled the air again as the boys and girls 7th & 8th grade races came down to the wire. Katherine Henry(Notre Dame) and Kerri Butler(St Patrick) battled the mile course in the most exciting race of the day, with Henry taking a large lead going into the woods only to see Butler close the gap and take the lead in the sloppy woods, with 50 meters to go Henry made one more surge beating Butler to the line by .2 seconds. Meanwhile on the boys side for the second week in a row Andrew Cannon(Sacred Heart) and Daniel Galford (St Mary Rosebank) ran uncontested through the 1.5 mile course waiting to see who has the better kick with 100 meters to go Cannon kicked past Galford for his second win of the season.

    Blessed Sacrament Captures Island Titles
    Blessed Sacrament captured the Boys and overall team titles at the Staten Island Championships While Our Lady of Good Counsel captured the girls title.
    Blessed Sacrament coming off of a team title last week showed they have the strength in addition to the depth they displayed last week. Keshaun Hodges Won Three gold medals to pace the team while Christian Pedersen, and Nicolo Francolino Moved up in grades to help score valuable points. On the girls side Good Counsel held off Blessed Sacrament by eight points, with strong efforts by Christine Connelly, Pariis Garcia, and Kelsey McLaughlin. The other triple Gold winners of the day were Dominique Toussaint of Sacred Heart, James Mahoney of St. Patricks, Tiffany Evango of St. Charles, and Jaclyn Masucci of St. Charles.


    Blessed Sacrament Wins Team Title
    Blessed Sacrament captured the boys, girls and overall Team title In the Blessed Sacrament Titan League cyo track meet . Strong Performances were turned in by 8th Graders Chris Murphy 100 meters 12.8, and Timothy Nowak 1600 Meters 5:48, on the girls side Jaclyn Masucci 100 Meters 14.3 and Christine Connelly 800 meters 2:33.43 turned in fine performances.



    Archdiocesan Track and Field Championships
    Christopher Murphy of St Clares And Tiffany Evango of St Charles Captured Three Golds each as Staten Island Captured its 7th Straight Archdiocese State Championship. Murphy Scored in the 100 meters 13.3, the shot put 34' 3" and anchored the 400 meter Relay to victory, While on the girls side Evango Took the 200 30.7,the long jump 12' 8" and was a member of the winning 400 meter relay. Staten Island Won 42 of 57 events Contested and out scored second place Manhattan 346 to 132

    Luke M. Parlatore/CYO Invitational Track Meet


    Saturday, May 12, 2007 marks the fourth anniversary of the Luke M. Parlatore/CYO Invitational Track Meet for Elementary School children. This year the CYO track event was held at McKee Staten Island Technical High School.

    This track meet is celebrated to commemorate the life, commitments and values of a unique seventeen year old, outdoor, cross-country track athlete who passed away on January 27, 2002. Luke was a senior year team captain of St. Joseph By-The-Sea, and he made it known that track played an influential roll in his life.

    This Invitational outdoor track meet assembles some 18 Catholic Elementary Schools to participate, results of this meet are available in the results section.


    OLGC Mad Dash
    Another Saturday, Another great track day as 18 parishes participated in the OLGC Mad dash. Fine performances were turned in by Stephen Steyer winning the Long Jump (16-02), Second in the 100, and anchoring the 4x100 to first place, and Victoria Crea winning the Long Jump (12-09), 800 meters 2:47 and second in the 4 x 100.

    St Clare hosts season opener
    Spring finally arrived, as St. Clares parish Hosted the opening of the 2007 Outdoor track and field season. Fine performances were turned in by Alessandro LoPresti (SCL) 2:46.90; and Katherine Henri (NDA) 2:51.50; in the 7th & 8th grade 800 meters. While the St Charles girls (Kristi Taddoni, Melissa Esposito, Jacyln Masucci,Tiffany Evanego) blistered to a 57.3 finish in the 400 meter relay. Complete results are listed in the results section.

    Butler & Cannon Pace St Patrick And Sacred Heart to Victory
    Placing five runners in the top seven positions, including winner Andrew Cannon, Sacred Heart rolled to the Staten Island Catholic Youth Organization's seventh/eighth-grades boys' championship yesterday at Clove Lakes Park. Cannon crossed the 1.5-miles tape in 9 minutes, 51.5 seconds.

    Acquafredda, Hansalik Capture Titles
    Seasonal champions Blessed Sacrament's Peter Acquafredda and Notre Dame Academy's Meredith Hansalik captured their respective Catholic Youth Organization fifth/sixth-grade Cross Country championships yesterday at Clove Lakes Park.

    Acquafredda won the mile in 6 minutes, 22.5 seconds while Hansalik toured the distance in 6:34.8.

    Blessed Sacrament's Vincent Wiedemann edged season champion Peter Clark of Our Lady Queen of Peace in the third/fourth-grade title run. Seasonal champ Nickie Toussaint led Sacred Heart to the girls' third/fourth-grade crown.

    Joseph Jay of Blessed Sacrament and Our Lady of Good Counsel's Ariella Garcia won the seasonal titles in the first/second-grade competition.

    The boys and girls seventh/eighth-grade championships will be staged Saturday.

    Connelly, Hansalik top CYO girls' One-Miler
    Our Lady of Good Counsel's Christine Connelly and Notre Dame Academy's Meredith Hansalik ran outstanding times in the third Staten Island CYO cross country meet at Clove Lakes Park.

    Eighth-grader Connelly clicked off a 5 minutes, 57.8 seconds timing for the mile while sixth-grader Hansalik ran a 6:40.2.

    n the boys' one-mile run, Blessed Sacrament's Peter Acquafredda (6:28.1) edged Our Lady Queen of Peace's Sal Sicilia (6:30.3). St. Clare's seventh-grader Alex LoPresti (9:51) topped fellow seventh-grader Andrew Cannon of Sacred Heart (9:57.2) in the 1.5-miles race.

    Cannon, Acquafredda, Farley, Triumph at Royal Oak Park
    In the second week of Catholic Youth Organization Cross Country Meet action at Clove Lakes Park, a host of new names took top honors in the boys' division, while in the girls' bracket, it proved to be more of the same.

    Sacred Heart's Andrew Cannon won the 7th-and-8th grade, while Blessed Sacrament's Peter Acquafredda and Our Lady Star of the Sea's Dennis Farley were tops in the 5th-and-6th and 3rd-and-4th, respectively.

    On the female front, Christine Connely of Our Lady of Good Counsel took the 7th-and-8th for the second straight week. Meredith Hansalik of Notre Dame Academy repeated in the 5th-and-6th, as did Kelsy McLoughlin of Our Lady of Good Counsel in the 3rd-and-4th.

    Alex LoPresti, a seventh grader from St. Clare's, won the seventh-eighth grade 1.5-mile race at the Staten Island CYO cross-country meet at Clove Lakes Park yesterday, clocking in at 10 minutes, six-tenths of a second.

    Christine Connely from Our Lady of Good Counsel won the girls' seventh-eighth grade 1-mile race, finishing in five minutes, 54.9 seconds

    Titan Meet finishes in a dead heat
    Our Lady Queen of Peace and St. Charles finished yesterday's Blessed Sacrament Titan Meet in a tie for first place in the overall team results with identical 196-point totals at the Monsignor Farrell High School complex, Oakwood.
    St Charles was awarded the title after a tie breaker capturing one more first place finish than OLQP.

    OLQP -- behind triple winners Jeremy Leavy (4th grade) and Victoria Crea (5th grade) -- copped first overall in the male bracket with a 127 and third in the female with a 69.

    St. Charles -- following the lead of triple winners Stephen Steyer (6th grade), Donnie Tadoni (8th grade) and Amanda Pfister (8th grade) -- was tops in the female division with a 101 and second in the male with a 95.

    Other triple winners were St. Patrick's second grader James Mahoney. Sacred Hearts 2nd grader Dominique Toussaint,Sacred Hearts third grader Taylor Henrique, And St Peters 1st grader Oluwatoni Fayanmira.




    St. Charles girls win Island
    St. Charles edged Our Lady of Good Counsel 99-97 to win the girls' Staten Island CYO Track and Field Championship last night at Monsignor Farrell HS.

    St. Peter's (79) was third, St. Patrick's (71) fourth and Blessed Sacrament (64) took fifth.

    After also winning the boys' title last week with 139 points, St. Charles captured the overall title. St. Clare's had won the previous 10 overall titles.

    St Charles Crowned Island Champion
    St Charles won the boys Staten Island championship meet on Monday scoring 139 points. Queen of Peace was second with 134 points and St Clare finished third with 118. This was the first time in ten years that St Clare did not win the meet. St Charles also captured the 5th & 6th grade divisions. St Clare won the 1st & 7th Grade divisions, while Queen of Peace captured the 3rd, 4th & 8th grade divisions, Our Lady of Good Council won the second grade division.

    Athletes star at Crusader Relay Carnival
    St. Clare's held its 13th annual Crusader Relay Carnival yesterday at Monsignor Farrell High School, Oakwood.
    Leading the way in the boys' division, St Peters Gerren Willis copped a pair of firsts in the 7th-and-8th-grade group -- one in the 100-meter and one as a member of the two-person long jump team.
    In the girls' bracket, St. Charles' Jaclyn Masucci and St Peters Shonia Mitchell each garnered two golds. Masucci led both the 4x100 relay and two-person long jump, while Mitchell headed the sprint medley relay and two-person shot put.

    Dana Draper Leads Charge at New York Arcdiocese Championships
    Dana Draper of Blesssed Sacrament continued her dominence in the 100 meters today at the Archdiocese Championships, winning in 14.6. Draper led the charge of Staten Islanders who scored 334 points outpacing the Bronx (117) Winners will advance to the national meet held in Orlando Florida.     Julia McMahon, Donnie Taddonie cop top honors


    Julia McMahon and Donnie Taddonie not only won their respective CYO Cross Country Meet seventh-and-eighth grade races, but also captured the individual seasonal championships with those results.

    McMahon, an eighth-grader from Notre Dame Academy, covered the 1-mile course in 5 minutes, 44.9 seconds -- not only good enough to top Our Lady of Good Counsel seventh-grader Christine Connelly (5:49.2), but also to break the record Connelly set earlier this year (5:50.1).

    Taddonie, an eighth-grader from St. Charles, took the 1.5-mile race relatively uncontested, logging a time of 9:44 -- well ahead of second-place Paul Buckheit (10:10).

    Notre Dame harrier pulls ahead to win mile
    Julia McMahon of Notre Dame Academy and Our Lady of Good Counsel's Christine Connelly put on a show in the Catholic Youth Organization cross-country meet before the former pulled away to victory yesterday at Clove Lakes Park.

    Both harriers ran side-by-side for most of the one-mile race until the NDA eighth-grader inched away in the final quarter mile for a 5 minutes, 52.6 seconds finish.Connelly crossed in 5:56.2.

    Second-grader Dominique Toussaint of Sacred Heart set a new standard in the quarter-mile race in 1:35.9, topping Brooke Anderson's 1996 record of 1:36.

Connelly 5:50.9 running the most exciting race of the day came from behind and edged Julia McMahon (Notre Dame Academy) 5:51.3 At the line. The old record was 5:55.0. Lopresti 5:58.3 ran away from the field early in his record setting race Beating the field by more than 20 seconds. The old record was 6:04.1

    Strong last day for Islanders
    July 9, 2005
    ORLANDO, Fla. -- Ryan Mayo placed fourth in the boys' Bantam shot put with a toss of 24 1/2 feet as Team CYO of New York finished its last day of competition at the National AAU Track and Field club championship yesterday at Disney's Wide World of Sports venue.

    Donnie Taddoni finished seventh in both the 100 and 200 meter dashes with times of 13.55 and 27.07 seconds at the Sub-youth division. He was also a member of NY's 4x800-meter boys' Youth relay squad that finished sixth with a time of 54.37. Taddoni shared the baton with Anthony Evangelista, John Masucci and Sean Halpin.

    NY's highest placing girls' team was the 4x100 Midget relay. The quartet of Kristi Taddoni, Jaclyn Masucci, Tiffany Evaneja and Melissa Esposito ran a 1:00.45 to place eighth.


    Two more cyo athletes shine in Florida
    June 8, 2005 ORLANDO, Fla. -- A.J. Wondolowski took first in the boys' youth shot put and Amanda Spoto won the sub-youth shot put as they were representing team CYO New York at the AAU National Track and Field Championships.

    Nikki Frangella finished second in the shot put in the midget girls' division, Roseann Lubrano (sub-midget girls) and Thomas Fagoni (sub-youth boys) each took fourths and Kate McCormick was seventh in the youth girls' division.

    In the 1,500 meters, Alex LoPresti finished third in the sub-midget. The team of Ciara Kneshaw, Kerri Butler, Natalie Clark and Tanisha Ross took fourth in the midget girls' 4x800 meter relay.


    CYO Athletes Medal in Florida
    July 7, 2005 ORLANDO, Fla. -- Alexandria Simon led the Staten Island charge at the AAU National Club Track and Field Championships at Disney's Wide World of Sports, placing third in the girls' sub-midget long jump with a height of 13-7 1/2.

    In the girls' midget discus, Nikki Frangella threw 57 feet, 8 inches -- good for fourth place.

    Alex LoPresti finished fifth after clocking 2:41.53 in the boys' sub-midget 800-meter. In the sub-youth 200-meter dash, Don Taddoni bagged seventh with 27.07 and a sixth in the long jump (15 1/2). In the youth long jump, Anthony Evangelista (17-3 1/2) took fourth.


    St. Clare's crowned overall Island champ
    June 9, 2005 St. Clare's, which won the boys' and girls team titles , was crowned overall champion with a point total of 227. St. Charles was second overall with 201 points. OLGC finished third (157) trailed by Our Lady Star of the Sea (155) and St. Peter's (154).

    St. Clare's, St. Peter's girls share CYO track title
    June 8, 2005 St. Clare's and St. Peter's shared the Catholic Youth Organization girls' team track and field championship yesterday, scoring 96 points each at Monsignor Farrell HS. St.Charles and Our Lady of Good Counsel tied for third place with 83 points.
    OLGC's Kelsey McLoughlin, a second-grader, won the 100 meters, long jump and was on the winning 4x100 relay team. Alexandria Simon, a fifth-grader from St. Peter's took the long jump, 400 meters and was on the winning fifth-sixth grade 4x100 squad.

    Double winners included OLGC's Brianne Garcia (long jump, 4x100) and Geena Rosalbo (shot put, 4x100) in third grade, fourth-grader Cheryl Lopez (shot put, 4x100) and sixth-grader Janet Nweke (100, sprint medley relay).

    Blessed Sacrament seventh-graders Dana Draper (100, 4x100) and Angela Ocasio (400, 4x100) as well as eighth-grader Brittany Giles (200, 4x100) joined St. Clare's seventh-grader Alexis Bivona (1,500, SMR) and eighth-grader Erin Frawley (800, SMR) as double winners.

    NDA fourth-grader Madeline Garcia (100, SMR) and St. Peter's fifth-grader Jade Lundy (shot put, 4x100) also won two.

    Sacred Heart took the first and second grade division. OLGC won third and fourth. St. Peter's was the fifth and sixth grade winner. OLSS took seventh and eighth.

    June 8, 2005 The St. Charles 400 meter relay team (52.3) of Donnie Taddoni, Marco Boshnak, Joseph Lauro, and Anthony Evangelista Finished off there undefeated season, Racing past St Patricks. (53.4)
    Mike Salaycik (St. Patrick's)2:24.9, edged Joseph Brancale (St.Joe-St. Thomas)2:25.7, and Dimitry Shishin (St. Clare) 2:39.9, In the 800 meters, while Katelyn Mascali (St. Patrick's), 3:00.1 defeated Lorraine Brancale (St. Joe-St. Thomas), 3:12.2. on the girls side of the 800 meters.


    St. Clare's cops Title
    June 6, 2005 St. Clare's took home the team championship at the Staten Island CYO boys' track and field championship at Monsignor Farrell HS with a score of 130 and 10 first-place finishes.

    St. Charles, which also had 10 first-place finishes, came in second at the event with a total of 118 points and Our Lady Queen of Peace rounded out the top three with 85 points.

    There were two double-winners on the day. Kevin Mione, from St. Clare's, took first in the fourth grade 55 meter dash with a time of 8.5 seconds, edging second-place finisher Johnathan Holuka by just 0.1 seconds. Mione also won the broad jump .

    The other double winner was Don Taddoni from St. Charles. Taddoni won the seventh-grade long jump (14 feet, 4 1/2 inches) and the 100 meters (12.6 seconds).

    Our Lady of Good Counsel won the first and second grade division, Blessed Sacrament took the third and fourth grades, St. Clare's was the fifth and sixth grade winner and St. Charles won the seventh and eighth grade division.

    St. Clare's was the big winner at the Catholic Youth Organization Blessed Sacrament track meet, taking home the Redmond O'Hanlon Memorial Trophy for highest overall team score Saturday at Monsignor Farrell HS, Oakwood.

    St. Clares won first place in the boys' team portion while St. Peter's won the girls' team portion.

    Anthony Evangelista, of St. Charles, took home the George Anderson Memorial Award for winning the boys' eighth grade 400-meter dash. Evangelista was a triple winner, also topping the long jump and the seventh and eighth grade 4x100 relay. Don Taddoni, another triple winner, was also on that relay team and won the seventh grade long jump and 100.

    Fifth-grader Harry Gumb was also a triple winner, taking the 100, long jump and was a member of the first place sprint medley relay team.

    On the girls' side, fourth-grader Meredith Hansalik (Notre Dame Academy) won three as part of the sprint medley relay team in addition to taking the 200 and broad jump.

    Madison Bulger and Kelly Ann Karasinski (Sacred Heart), Ashley Zito (St. Clare's), Madeline Garcia (NDA), Tiffany Evanego and Kristi Taddoni (St. Charles), Dana Draper and Angela Ocasio (Blessed Sacrament) and Julieann D'Amato (OLSS) were girls' double winners while Justin Maccio (OLGC), Joseph Irlinger and Peter Clark (OLQP) and James Ramhold, Kevin Mione and Chris Murphy (St. Clare's) were boys' double winners.     St. Charles 4x100-meter relay team races to a 51.3
    May 28, 2005 The St. Charles 4x100-meter relay team set the pace in the 12th Annual St. Clare's Crusader Carnival Relay yesterday at Monsignor Farrell, Oakwood.

    The quartet of Donnie Taddoni, Marco Boshnak, Joseph Lauro and Anthony Evangelista raced to a 51.3 second finish, distancing itself from second-place St. Patrick's (54.1) by almost a full three seconds.

    SI wins Archdiocesan title

    The Staten Island parochial squad won the Archdiocesan CYO Track and Field Championships team division on Saturday at Mount St. Michael's Academy, the Bronx.

    Staten Island County totaled 515 points, easily outdistancing Westchester County (200), Manhattan County (86) and Bronx County (65).

    St. Peter's Jade Lundy, St. Clare's Chris Murphy, Notre Dame Academy's Madeline Garcia, Our Lady Star of the Sea's Julie Ann D'Amato, and St. Charles' Stephen Steyer, Don Taddoni and Anthony Evangelista were double winners.
