    07/12/07 P 24's season ends with a 3-2 loss at Rock Hill Thursday night
    The P 24's season came to an end Thursday night after a 3-2 loss to Rock Hill at Winthrop University. The P 24's finished the season at 9-10, one game out of the postseason. Four pitchers combined to hold Rock Hill to three runs, but the P 24's couldn't push across the tying run in the ninth. Jesse Harmon had two hits including a solo homerun in the ninth to cut the deficit to one. The P 24's would like to thank all the fans for their support throughout the season. We would also like to thank all of those who helped get American Legion baseball back to Newberry County and look forward to the 2008 season.

    07/10/07 P 24's pull out another come from behind victory at Lancaster Tuesday night
    The P 24's scored three runs in the top of the ninth to take the lead for good and beat Lancaster 8-6 Tuesday night on the road. Sanchez Gartman's bases loaded walk in the ninth tied it up and Adam Cassada's two run ground out put the P 24's ahead for good. Cassada finished with three rbi, while Gartman chipped in with three himself. Jesse Harmon came on in the eighth to get the last out and then pitched a scoreless ninth for his second win of the season. The P 24's travel to Rock Hill Thursday night in a must win game. Gametime is 8:00 pm at Winthrop University.

    Clover game rescheduled for Friday, July 13th (if necessary)
    The postponed game versus Clover has been rescheduled for Friday, July 13th at 7:30 pm at Mid-Carolina High School. The game will only be made up if it has bearing on the playoffs.

    07/09/07 P 24's pound out 17 hits and 15 runs in come from behind victory versus Fort Mill
    The P 24's got back on track with a come from behind victory Monday night versus Fort Mill. Down 8-3 in the bottom of the fifth, the P 24's exploded for 12 runs in the next four innings. Sanchez Gartman had three hits, including a long homerun and two rbi. Kedric Douglas had two hits and four rbi. Jesse Harmon also hit his team leading 9th homerun in the first. The P 24's are back in action tomorrow night at Lancaster at 7:00 pm.

    07/08/07 P 24's lose a heartbreaker at Chester
    The P 24's lost a heartbreaker Sunday afternoon at Chester, 4-3. Ryan Rowe pitched seven strong innings giving up three earned runs and striking out seven, but it wasn't enough for the P 24's who dropped to 7-9 on the season. Adam Cassada had two hits including a solo homerun. Jesse Harmon had two hits and Codie Dickert had two hits and an rbi. The P 24's are home Monday night at 7:30 pm versus Fort Mill.

    07/05/07 P 24's stay in the playoff hunt with big win versus Chester
    The P 24's got good starting pitching, scoreless relief pitching, and some timely hitting Thursday night to beat Chester 14-6 at Mid-Carolina High School. Ashton Longshore got the win, throwing six strong innings striking out seven. Corey Burgess and Jesse Harmon combined to shut out Chester for the final three innings. Harmon had another big night at the plate going four for four with two homeruns and four rbi. Sanchez Gartman, Kedric Douglas, and CJ Hentz also homered and drove in seven runs between the three of them. The P 24's travel to Chester Sunday at 4:00 pm hoping to move another step closer to the postseason.

    07/05/07 Postponed Rock Hill game re-scheduled for 07/12/07
    The P 24's will make up the Rock Hill game next Thursday, July 12th at 8:00 pm at Winthrop.

    07/05/07 Chester make-up date set for 7/8/07 at 4:00 pm
    The P 24's will travel to Chester Sunday, July 8th to complete the rain suspended game from last week. Gametime is set for 4:00 pm.

    07/02/07 P 24's lose to Rock Hill 8-0
    The P 24's were shut out Monday night at Rock Hill 8-0. Jesse Harmon got the loss. He pitched six innings, giving up five runs in the first inning and then settled in and pitched four scoreless innings. The p 24's hope to get back to their winning ways Thursday night at home versus Fort Mill. Gametime is 7:30 pm at Mid-Carolina High School.

    06/28/07 P 24's lose to Lancaster 12-2 in 7 innings
    The P 24's made nine errors Thursday night which led to twelve Lancaster runs, in a 12-2 loss in seven innings. The P 24's continue league play Friday night at Chester in a must win game to stay in the hunt for the postseason. The next P 24 home game is Thursday, July 5th at 7:30 pm versus Chester.

    06/27/07 P 24's lose to Rock Hill 14-9
    The P 24's made seven errors Wednesday night which led to fourteen Rock Hill runs, in a 14-9 loss. A couple of bright spots for the P 24's was the relief performance of Korey Burgess, who pitched five innings and only allowed one run while striking out four. Reek Flemon hit two homeruns and drove in four runs. The P 24's are at home again Thursday night against Lancaster. Come to the game and see someone get a chance to win a new car from Stokes-Trainor, gametime is 7:30 pm.

    06/26/07 P 24's beat Fort Mill in 11 innings
    The P 24's pulled out a 6-5 victory Tuesday night at Fort Mill in eleven innings. Down 5-1 in the ninth, the P 24's rallied for four runs to tie the game and scored one in the top of the eleventh to win. Korey Ahrens tied the game in the ninth with a two out, two run single. He then came on and pitched three scoreless innings for his first win of the season. Will Bedenbaugh hit a game winning sacrifice fly in the eleventh to score Jesse Harmon. Reek Flemon had three hits, a stolen base and a run scored. Corey Burgess pitched two scoreless innings to keep the score at 5-1, giving the P 24's a chance in the ninth. The P 24's are back in action tomorrow night at 7:30 pm at Mid-Carolina High School versus Rock Hill. It's Central State Flea Market Night and the last chance to sign up for a chance to win a car.

    06/22/07 P 24's lose 12-5 at Chester
    The P 24's losing streak reached three Friday night with a 12-5 loss at Chester. A seven run fourth inning for Chester proved to be the difference. The P 24's hope to get back on track Monday night at home versus Clover, game time is 7:30 pm.

    Another one run loss. P 24's lose to Rock Hill
    The P 24's dropped to 5-4 after losing to Rock Hill 5 to 4 Thursday night. The loss was the third one-run loss for the P 24's this season and comes after Tuesday night's 7 to 6 loss at Lancaster. Jeff Hentz hit a long homerun to center for the first run of the game, and Wilbur Caldwell drove in another run with a two out triple in the 5th. The P 24's hope to get back on track tomorrow night when they play at Chester at 7:00 pm.

    06/19/07 P 24's lose another one run game at Lancaster Tuesday Night
    The P 24's lost another one run ballgame Tuesday night at Lancaster, 7-6. Sanchez Gartman and Jesse Harmon went deep for the second consecutive game, but it wasn't enough to get past Lancaster. The P 24's continue league play this Thursday at home versus Rock Hill. It's Restoration Outreach Night, so come to the game for a night of fellwoship and baseball. Game time is set for 7:30 pm at Mid-Carolina High School.

    06/18/07 P 24's improve to 5-2 in league play with a win over Fort Mill
    The P 24's got a little redemption by beating Fort Mill Monday night, 10-7. Nick Renwick was the winner and Jesse Harmon picked up his third save. Harmon was also three for four at the plate with a homerun. Sanchez Gartman hit the back end of back to back homeruns in the eight to give the P 24's a three run lead heading into the ninth. Post 24 is back in action tomorrow night, June 19th, at Lancaster.

    06/14/07 P 24's sweep doubleheader from Clover
    The P 24's got back on track Thursday night by sweeping a doubleheader from Clover, 6-2 and 10-5. Ashton Longshore picked up the win in game one and Ryan Rowe got the win in the second game. Jesse Harmon came in to close the door, picking up the save in both games. Harmon also had three hits and four rbi in the two games. Kedrick Douglas had four hits and four stolen bases in the double header. The P 24's are back in action Monday night, June 18th at Mid-Carolina High School at 7:30 pm versus Fort Mill.

    06/12/07 P 24's lose to Chester 6-4 Tuesday night
    The P 24's lost another close one Tuesday night at home versus Chester. Playing from behind most of the night, the P 24's couldn't put together a rally to make a comeback. Jesse Harmon continued to stay hot, going 2-4 with a homerun and a double. Korey Ahrens drove in another run for the P 24's with a double. Nick Renwick was the hard luck loser again, giving up 3 earned runs in 6 innings. The P 24's hit the road Wednesday and Thursday at Clover and look to get back on track.

    06/11/07 Game at Rock Hill postponed due to rain
    The P 24's game at Rock Hill was postponed due to rain. A makeup date has not been scheduled. Check the web site for updates. The P 24's play home, Tuesday, June 12th versus Chester at 7:30 pm. It's Kary Builders Night, so come out to Mid-Carolina High School and cheer on the P 24's.

    P 24 hats and T-shirts on sale now
    Get your very own P 24 game hat and T-shirt at the next home game. The hats come in red and blue and are $20.00 each. The t-shirts are gray with the blue P 24's logo on the front and they are $15.00 each.

    Updated transcript required for all players
    All players need to go to their high school and get an updated copy of their transcript or give their guidance counselor permission for Kelly Ahrens to obtain a copy. We will need these to update your player profile packages for potential college coaches attending next week's games. Please give your updated transcript to Kelly or Pete no later than Monday, June 11th.

    05/31/07 P 24's lose a tough one at Fort Mill
    Costly errors and too many men left on base was the demise for the P 24's Thursday night at Fort Mill. Nick Renwick went the distance on the mound giving up six runs with only one being earned. Renwick also struck out six and limited Fort Mill to seven hits over eight innings. Jesse Harmon stayed hot at the plate, going two for three with a double and two RBI. Ryan Rowe chipped in with a two run single in the third. The P 24's are off for the next week and pick up the season again Monday, June 11th versus Rock Hill at 8:00 pm at Winthrop University.

    05/30/07 Harmon's 7 RBI help lead P 24's over Clover
    Jesse Harmon helped lead the P 24's to a 19-8 win over Clover in seven innings on Fair Night at Mid-Carolina High School. Harmon was five for five with two doubles, two homeruns, five runs scored, and seven RBI. Harmon was a triple short of hitting for the cycle. Wilbur Caldwell also homered for the P 24's in the fifth inning. Ryan Rowe came in relief to pick up the win. The P 24's are now 2-0 in the league and continue league play tomorrow night at 7:00 pm at Fort Mill.

    05/28/07 "FAIR NIGHT" WEDNESDAY VS. CLOVER
    Bring the kids to this Wednesday nights P 24 home game versus Clover for Fair Night. The attractions for the kids open at 7:00 pm and will run until 10:00 pm, the game starts at 7:30 pm. Come to the game for a night of fair food, entertainment for the kids, and baseball. Admission prices are $5.00 for all adults and $3.00 for students.

    5/25/07 Hentz's single in the ninth helps P 24's win home opener
    Jeff Hentz's RBI single in the bottom of the ninth help the P 24's win their home opener versus Lancaster. Hentz lined a single to right scoring Korey Ahrens from second who reached earlier in the inning on a fielders choice. It was Hentz's second RBI of the night, the other coming on a solo homerun in the sixth. Jesse Harmon got the win for the P 24's going three scoreless innings and striking out seven. Harmon homered in the sixth and drove in four runs. Sanchez Gartman had a big night going three for five with two homeruns and a double. The P 24's continue their season Wednesday night at home versus Clover. It's Fair Night, so bring the children out for an evening of fun and baseball.

    5/18/07 SPAGHETTI DINNER A HUGE SUCCESS!!!!
    The P 24's would like to thank all of the people involved in making tonight's Spaghetti Dinner a huge success. We would like to give special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy and Beth Folk, Casey Ruff, and Jamie Graffagnino for doing all of preparation and cooking the last couple of days. Without their help this would not have been anywhere near the success it was. Also, thanks to Tammy Harmon and Lucia Renwick for helping serve and clean up after the dinner.

    5/20/07 Game vs. Chester postponed
    The game at Chester on Sunday, May 20th has been postponed. A future date has not been set yet. Stay tuned to the website for further details.

    P 24's and Restoration Outreach Center announce their joint venture for the 2007 season
    The P 24's are proud to announce their joint venture with Restoration Outreach Center for the 2007 season. R.O.C. will be providing the game day staff and concessions for all of the P 24's home games this season.

    05/11/07 Congratulations to Mid-Carolina High School
    The P 24's would like to congratulate the Mid-Carolina High School Rebels on a great season. M-C lost last night to Bishop England ending their season after a great run through the playoffs. Great job guys and we look forward to having some of you on this years Post 24 team.

    Meet the P24's Spaghetti Dinner tickets on sale now
    Tickets for the May 18th "Meet the P 24's Spaghetti Dinner" are on sale now. Tickets are $5.00 and can be purchased from any of the players or coaches or by contacting Pete Graffagnino at 803-924-3675. The dinner will be held from 5:00-7:30 pm at the Post 24 headquarters located on Highway 34, under the egg water tower.

    Stokes-Trainor and the P 24's are giving someone the chance to win a car
    The P 24's and Stokes-Trainor are proud to announce the opportunity for one lucky P 24 fan to win a NEW CAR. The P 24's appreciate the support we have been receiving from Stokes-Trainor and both are very excited to offer this opportunity to a P 24 fan. Fans must attend the game and be present for the opportunity to win the car. More information will be available as the season nears, so keep checking the website for updates.     The 2007 Season Tickets for the P 24's are now on sale. Tickets are $50.00 for all 10 regular season home games and checks need to be made payable to: American Legion Post 24 Baseball. Please contact Pete Graffagnino, Kelly Ahrens, or any of the P 24 players to purchase your season tickets.

    Former Newberry Bulldog joins coaching staff
    The P 24's are proud to announce that Wes Rowe will be joining the 2007 coaching staff. Wes will be the first base and defensive coach for this years P 24's. Check out Wes' bio on the contact info page.
