Tryouts set for February 24th

The Charlotte Colts begin their 2018 campaign by hosting new player tryouts on Saturday February 24th. The tryouts will take place at Spaugh Middle School. All new players bring your workout gear and cleats. The tryout fee is $25. Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the tryouts starts at 11 a.m. The Charlotte Colts are members of the World Football Federation (WFF).


Colts taking their talent up north

After five years competing in the Central Carolina Football League, The Charlotte Colts have parted ways and will be joining one of the country's elite league, the World Football Federation for the 2018 season. The WFF have teams from the Carolinas to the New England area. They have elite teams like the DMV Elite, Albany Mallers, Capital City Seahawks, Syracuse Strong, Fayetteville Ducks and the Hampton Road Hurricanes just to name a few. They will begin league play in July 2018.


The rivalry continues

The Colts will try to keep their undefeated streak alive when the Catawba Hornets come to the Stable this Saturday night. The Colts coming off a 28-6 win over the Metro City Bounty Hunters. The game will be played at Rocky River High School. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.


Colts starts season June 10th

The Charlotte Colts will begin their season on the road when they visit the Kings Mountain Force out of the World Development Football League (WDFL). The Force is playing in their first summer season while the Colts are beginning their sixth season. The game is Saturday June 10th. Kickoff is at 8 p.m.


Eight players signed with Wildcats

The Winston Wildcats signed eight Charlotte Colts players to an arena contract this afternoon. Quarterback Vinnie Dolley, wide receiver Centrail Williamson, defensive lineman C.J. Montgomery, linebackers Torrie Walker, Gene Proctor and Raphael King. Safety Mike Sykes and kicker Sonny Powell. They will join teammate offensive lineman LaVance Ginyard who signed a couple of months ago. The Winston Wildcats are part of the American Indoor Football.


Wooden, Gray signed arena contracts

Two Charlotte Colts players, cornerback Quan Wooden (left) and linebacker Desmond Gray will take their talents to Cajun country. They each signed an arena contract with the Louisiana Cottonmouths of the American Indoor Football this coming spring. They will play under Cottonmouths head coach John Fourcade. He is a former legendary quarterback for the New Orleans Saints.


The Charlotte Colts are in mourning after defensive tackle Albert Johnson passed away last night in Charlotte, NC. The Colts family extends their deepest sympathy to his family.


Charlotte Colts teaming with NFL Play 60

The Charlotte Colts coaches and players will be helping out along with the Carolina Panthers with the NFL Play 60 Character Camp  this Saturday September 20th at the Simmons YMCA. They will serve as camp coaches. The camp will consist of teaching football skills, emphasizing exercise and reinforcing the importance of character in athletics and in life. The Camp will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. If any kids ages 7-13 would like to participate, come to the Simmons YMCA this Saturday. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. This is a free camp.

The Charlotte Colts football players are working along side with the ACC Network and former Duke QB Zack Asack to film an intro video that will be featured accross the nation throughout the college football season. The Charlotte Colts are part of the Central Carolina Football League (CCFL).
