2017 HOLY TRINITY FOOTBALL & CHEERLEADING UPDATE
Holy Trinity will partner with HAYFA & the Hollidaysburg YMCA to offer organized Football (flag & tackle) & Cheerleading for students in the following divisions: Football Divisions For 2017
Football Divisions For 2017:
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th Grade Guardian Instructional Flag Football - Will participate in Flag Football Division within the Hollidaysburg YMCA Program.
5th/6th Grade Guardian Varsity Tackle Football – will participate in the Hollidaysburg Area Youth Football Association, hereinafter referred to as HAYFA. Note: 4th graders over 70lbs or deemed ready by Parents & School administration will be considered.
Guardian Cheerleading Squad:
Cheerleading will be offered for students in 3rd through 6th grade. Our squad will participate at all Varsity games played at HAYFA.
Parent Highlights:
Holy Trinity will pay all registration fees, and provide equipment for each program, and ALL Parents will be REQUIRED to assist at all games/events at HAYFA. (Concessions/50-50/Sticks/set-up & clean-up/other duties)
Players in each division will be responsible to purchase their own football spikes, a mouthpiece, and water bottle (with their name written on with a sharpie.)
Parents/legal guardians will be responsible for transportation to all practice, games, and other program related events.
GUARDIAN ATHLETIC PACKETS- (PHYSICAL & RELEASE FORMS) – All Student Athletes will be required to submit completed forms to be eligible to participate.(students must obtain their own physical)
***All students interested in tackle football, MUST complete a GUARDIAN - HAYFA Football Registration Form, and return it to Holy Trinity School’s Office (Main Campus) by July 17, 2017.
HOLY TRININTY GUARDIAN’S COACHES INFORMATION:
Those interested in Coaching must pre-register on the Coaches Link at www.altoonaparochialleague.com
Coaches should plan to attend a clinic/ CPR Training at BG on August 12th at 9AM. Details will be available soon.
Note: Coaches/Advisors will be contacted by Holy Trinity School Administration to fulfill all requirements.

July 17th Guardian/HAYFA Tackle Football Registration form is due. (see above). August 5th Guardian Equipment Distribution (10:00 AM /Holy Trinity Main Campus)
August 7th Guardian Varsity Football Team practices begin –(details of dates/times)
August 12th Guardian Coaches Clinic CPR/First Aid/AED Certification @ BG (9AM-1PM)
August 19th HAYFA Scrimmage Day (Time TBD)
August 26th HAYFA Opening Game Tiger Stadium (Time TBD)
Note: Games are on Saturday AM’s @ Tiger Stadium (9AM-1PM)
Please note that the above is the format of the season, and dates/times are subject to change. Once all dates/times/locations are finalized, then a formal schedule will be distributed and posted on the Holy Trinity Web Page. Please contact Holy Trinity School for details.
