Sunrise Mountain Mustangs defeated Westwood 6-4 thanks to a strong start.  Sunrise Mountain scored on a double by Austin Thomason, a triple by Tyler Pruitt, and a single by Jacob Stockton in the second inning.

Alec Myers earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Mustangs. He lasted three innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out three.  Caleb Thomason threw four innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Sunrise Mountain totaled eight hits in the game.  Thomason, Pruitt, Trevor Pruitt, and Stockton all managed multiple hits for Sunrise Mountain.  

Over 20 players returned to Sunrise Mtn on Saturdays from 2007 to 2016.  Alumni home run derby won by Austin Byler.

2014 grad Billy Oxford started for the Alumni throwing 2 scoreless innings with 5 ks.  Danny Schlief (2008) had 3 hits in the game and threw 1 scoreless inning on the mound. 2009 grad AJ Robinson added 2 doubles and 2 stolen bases and 3 RBIs.  The retirement of 3 jerseys was the highlight of the day as 2007 LHP TJ Geith #1, 2011 RHP Aaron Bummer #18 and 2011 1B Austin Byler #14 all had their jerseys retired to add to 2008 OF Jaff Decker #22 on the Sunrise Mtn Outfield wall.
